I booked in July for our Dec trip. Dec 19th to 26th. National Emerald Aisle, using ent coupon and amex code, intermediate, $183.29 with taxes and fees. Its more than double that if you book now.

Dec 17 to Dec 23, I booked in May with Dollar including tax 158.00 for a mid size, I keep checking and it double that now.

Dec 23 to Jan 2nd - National with Amex code & Entertainment coupon - $ 250. including taxes/fees. From Car Care Centr. Booked in August - missed a great $ 150. rate by a day. Mid-size - was cheaper than a compact.

In April, I booked with National for Dec 16-23 and got a full size for a week for $117 (including all fees/taxes but no insurance). (Emerald Club contract id and the Entertainment book coupon)

I've found it particularly rewarding to book waaaaaaaay in advance. If I discover I don't need it, I just cancel the ressie.
