I am scrapbooking today! DH is home from work, the girls have an afternoon program and piano, but he said he would take them and bring DS2 along! He is even going to run errands at Walmart for me! I am a happy woman this morning!!!

This week is February school vacation, so the kids around here, (and I'm guessing in most of New England), have the entire week off, not just today. It doesn't really matter to us now that DD is completing school through an independent study program. However, she also has the entire week off from dance, so we REALLY have a free week.

I'm sitting here wondering why we haven't made plans to go away.

We'll probably take off on a couple of day trips to Boston, do some shopping, eat out, and just hang out around the house. We have tickets to the touring Broadway production of Hairspray next weekend.

I am working on some housework, I have a pork butt in the crock and plan on hitting a movie with dd12 later this afternoon.

Four day work week and then school vacation next week.

Oh I'm jealous of you all that get "winter break". We don't have another day off until Good Friday after today. But we are done June 1!
I always pack our days off with appointments. In a few minutes we will leave and pick up some XRays for a doctor's appointment DD#1 has tomorrow. Then the kids have their 6 month dentist checkup. At 1:30 I am getting my hair color touched up and getting a trim. DD#2 and DS still have music lessons at 4:30 and DD#1 still has dance tongiht--but at least my hair color will be all better and their teeth will be clean!
I schedule their annual physicals for spring break too, LOL.

Lunch out then we're hitting the furniture stores for a new bedroom set for my 16 y.o. son.

I'm off but DH is working. I'm having my carpets cleaned today at 1 PM (yes, I'm really that happy about it! ) and have just finsihed vacuuming everything in preparation, and moving all the small things up off the floor (DH's musical instruments on stands, magazine racks/baskets, wastebaskets, etc.).

Right now I'm eating an English muffin with cheddar cheese melted on top, and drinking a Coke (you didn't know Coke for breakfast is a Southern tradition?? ).

Later I'll probably list more books on Amazon.
