Whats coming soon??

The only reason I can think just one billboard across from Bonnet Creek is saying this is because it has something to do with DVC advertising in the face of Bonnet Creek. But maybe it's a 3rd cruise ship for DVC.

I hate to burst everyone's bubble, but I asked about this at yesterdays Merry Mixer, and was told that what's 'Coming Soon' is a new billboard advertising DVC (albeit a nice billboard - 3D and all).

Well, that's where the sceptic in my was heading. I think that the 'coming soon' refers to 50 years of vacation magic coming soon, or a reference to someone getting a great gift. (I think that I mentioned that in an earlier post...)

The other thing which makes me think that it's just an advertisement is that the only billboards I remember on WDW property advertise attractions, or room reservations. I can't see them using a billboard to advertise something which would only appeal to current DVC members....

But go ahead and dream, everyone! I hope that your wishes come true, and that I am totally wrong on this one!!!

Maybe DIS needed another long thread to attract new sponsors and pitched in for the billboard!!

My guess goes for a new Resort being announced with construction starting in a year or so after SSR sells out. I also feel it will folow the lines of SSR & OKW and become a stand alone condo resort even if it is DVC Disneyland. SSR has sold surprisingly well and I feel they will follow with a similiar style(it's all about the money). There is no way I would fathom that all they are going to unvail is a new sign advertising DVC. Now I would love to see another offsite DVC but that will NEVER happen. The 2 offsite properties took forver to sell out. I would also love a monorail DVC but I'll keep dreaming. My 2 feelings are in order 1) DVC Disneyland 2) condo style DVC on WDW property. If it's an announcement for a new DVC, my predictions are 1) Hawaii or 2) DVC at the Contemporary.

Alot of DVC members are itching to know what's in that box. Some possibilities:

1. A new DVC resort: at the Contemporary, Eagle Pines, or on some runway by the MK parking lot, (which may have monorail access) or in California.

Oooh, this would be mega-cool. Think about it. A resort with monorail access to BOTH MK and Epcot. All (well, maybe not all) you'd have to do is put in a new loading platform (as opposed to building track). Plus there seems to be enough room between the old air strip and Epcot possibly for another golf course. Possibly the ultimate DVC resort.

2. Advertisement
5. A knee jerk response to the competition at Bonnet Creek.

Most likely, these are the reasons. It's like DVC saying, you may think you're "on site", but you ain't got the magic of actually staying with the Mouse.

It doesn't make sense to me that they would say "coming soon" in reference to something that already exists (like SSR or DVC in general).

I just read on another thread that a DVC guide said what was "coming soon" was a new DVC property - Eagle Pines.

It may be DVC FPC (Fast Pass Channel) for DVC Hotel rooms. You get 4 per day for each guest and can scan through and select times and attractions you want the day before to help with planning.
