Whats coming soon??

Alot of DVC members are itching to know what's in that box. Some possibilities:

1. A new DVC resort: at the Contemporary, Eagle Pines, or on some runway by the MK parking lot, (which may have monorail access) or in California.

2. Advertisement

3. The current incentive to buy at SSR

4. An acutal "gift" from DVC to its loyal members (i.e., points)

5. A knee jerk response to the competition at Bonnet Creek.

6. Something that nobody has mentioned yet.

7. A new or 5th theme park to go along with MK, Epcot, MGM, and Animal Kingdom.

8. The new dining plan option.

But what is the 'coming soon' element? I'm actually leaning towards this (sorry, sceptic!) and think that the 'coming soon' is something like 'coming soon - 50 years of wonderful vacation if you buy DVC'

Don't know if they would rub non-members noses like that

1) Impossible.
2) This would make more points than capacity.
3) Jim Bakker went to prison for the same thing.

I'm guessing it probably has to do with the dining plan option. We know it's supposed to be coming in April 2006, so it would make sense. However, I wouldn't consider that a "gift" or "present" since you have to pay for it.

I'm thinking its the building of a 5th park!! They are targeting DVC member because they are the diehards, and they know we will appreciate it!

No way is it a 5th gate. They still only have 3 and a half parks (.5 DAK) They need to improve the exsisting parks before they add a 5th gate. Probably just the dining plan.

But like one person said, hope this doesn't come before we have our recent contract paid off. Because if they did build VAK we would add on in a big way.

As to 3.5 parks....When the EE section of AK opens in a few months, will that then make it 3.75 parks?

Wasn't there talk of Disney opening up a park just for "thrill rides"??? I read that awhile back so thats why I was thinking on those lines? Whos know, maybe they will open the box on Christmas Day??

Took the KTTKT last weekend and the cm said that Iger took all plans for a new park on hold and pour money into the existing parks, make sense. Although I am curious, I think maybe Contemporary or DL.

Disney is probably reading this and laughing, if they are reading this the points would be nice!!!!

I hate to burst everyone's bubble, but I asked about this at yesterdays Merry Mixer, and was told that what's 'Coming Soon' is a new billboard advertising DVC (albeit a nice billboard - 3D and all).
