Just ask us! Sounds like we have a nice collection of Potter knowledge on these boards. And a lot of creatures in the Potter books are from European mythology. The hippogriff being one such creature.

The Flying Unicorn, The Dragon's Keep (Gift Shop next to exit of Dueling Dragons), and Enchanted Oak (BBQ place across from Dueling Dragons) are closing on July 8 .

Very true.....but I think the mythological hippogriff and Rowling's hippogriif are slightly different. Or it could just be me being tired and not thinking straight (tho, when do I ever? haha, mac should enjoy that joke).

I got this off the Universal Orlando website:

A portion of Lost Continent at Islands of Adventure has been closed as work progresses on Universal Orlando’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Guests will use a newly created bridge to walk between Lost Continent and Jurassic Park. Specific attractions and venues affected include The Flying Unicorn attraction, the Enchanted Oak restaurant and The Dragon’s Keep store. Dueling Dragons will remain open.

Is this accurate or hasn't it been updated to inclued DD?

There hasn't been any official annoucements of DD closing. Right now everything we know about DD is just speculation.

I just got back today...I have to upload my pics but i have some of the area fenced in by dueling dragons and the detour...dont ask me why but I did not go through the opened gate detour to get pics
