As the title suggests, I am having a difficult time with my upcoming trip, due to the fact that I can't really plan. I figure if I write about it here, people who understand Disney passion might help me get through this difficult time.

I have done some PTRs before, but let me start with some introductions.

Me: Kristi

That's me on the right with J in the middle and D on the left. This was taken in June during a bonus Disney trip. They will be a big part of my story.

So, I love Disney and taking trips and despite my initial uneasiness after my first experience with FP+ back in December 2013, I am much more comfortable with it. (Three more trips since then will do that to you!) In my regular life I am a special Ed teacher of 7th and 8th graders with emotional and behavioral disorders. Most days I love it, but it can be exhausting. I also work weekends at Toys R Us, during the winter for a local high school athletic department scoring and running the clock for the girls hockey team and in the summer I take care of my 5 year old nephew, who is the coolest kid in the world!

Favorites:
Park: Either Epcot or Magic Kingdom
Character: Elsa
Movie: Frozen (Although I finally watched Tangled this summer and really liked it)
Resort: French Quarter
Attraction: American Adventure
Show: Celebrate the Magic

So how did this upcoming non-planning trip come to be?? Stay tuned! (And please say hello if you are reading!)

So to explain a little about this upcoming trip I am going to back up a bit and explain a little about my past few trips. If we jump in our Delorean and go back to April 2014. My cousin's daughter, Jess (from the picture) was participating in the Disney College Program so I went down to visit her while she was working at Hollywood Studios. It was a great time and while we were talking about taking a girls trip in October 2015 to celebrate her 21st birthday. It was a great plan.

I also had a trip booked for February 2015 with my brother Derek (from pic above) and his girlfriend for GF to run the Princess Half Marathon. Well, GF broke up with brother and I ended up going on my very first solo trip. Again, great time!

Just after I returned from Florida in February Jessica found out she was accepted back into the College program and would be going down from May to January. Perfect! I will go down in the fall to see her and celebrate her birthday and hopefully convince my sister in law to come with me with my nephew. We talked about it and it was kind of up in the air as to whether or not she and nephew would come. My brother Jay (nephew's dad) wanted to go to Atlantis rather than Disney (Not a Disney fan). I kind of left it alone at that point. Then in early spring SIL sent me a text saying Jay was on board with us all going down in October.

Cut to mid spring and Derek was trying to book a flight to Vegas with the credit from his cancelled February flights. Well, the Vegas trip was past the date when he could use the credit so he needed to go somewhere else or lose the credit. "Let's go visit Jessica at Disney!" was my bright idea! He agreed and we started planning.

One night we were making plans and Jay started making comments that it sounded like a horrible vacation having to plan everything out and he would never do that. I explained that a bit of planning ahead of time would save time when we there. He stated that may or may not be true. I asked what he meant by that and he said that he just wouldn't wait in any lines. I asked if the five year old would just miss out on things he would like and the response I got was, "He doesn't know what he's missing. He will be happy with a pool!" I asked why he would go to WDW then and he said that there would be things the 5 year old would enjoy!" :confused3 I just walked away from the conversation at that point.

So school ends and Derek and I head down to Florida for 5 fabulous days. We had a great time. Early on, Derek asked if I was going back in the fall and I told him yes with the 3 other family members. He said he wanted to go too! I was super happy about that.:) On our last day of the trip Jay called Derek and they were talking about the fall trip and Jay asked us to ask Jess what it would cost to stay (all 5 of us) at the Polynesian. I told Derek to tell that even with a CM discount it would still be pricey. Jay didn't really believe me until Jessica sent him the prices.

Derek and I come home and check in with Jess to see what would be the best option for 5 of us. Jay then texts me one morning and is all excited about Pirate beds at CB. I told him we could do that but it would have to be 2 rooms. Then Derek says he can't go. Then he says he can and he booked his flights (which nobody else has done yet at this point). It is then decided that we will just get a regular room for 5 and just book that. SIL thinks that 5 in one room is not a problem and it will be great. Seemed like it would be kinda cramped but whatever. I am game for anything. So, as of July 4 we are booked at CB for five nights.

What else happens that I have no control over...tune in next time!
