& where would I get one for DH? What should I expect to pay for one that does the job?

It's a paint stripper. You couldn probably find one at Lowes or Home depot. Michaels carries them too. People use them for embossing while rubber stamping.

DH wants to use one to bend/shape vinyl siding. He's experimented with his blow torch but that makes the vinyl too hot & leaves burn marks.

They look like a drill. Have an opening where the drill bit would be, about 2". When plugged in they produce a intense heat thats often used to strip paint.

They are not expensive and can be purchased at any hardware store or the hardware section of most department stores.

Think "Hair dryer on steroids". ;)

I bought one last summer at an electronics supply store for 35 bucks or so.

There are some models that cost more, with more attachments or controllable heat/air flow. For working with siding and other home improvement things, you don't want the small craft-store kind, but you don't need one with lots of controls.

Barry - I always wanted a bank account like the Austrian dude who PLAYED Mr. Freeze has. ;)
