We are looking at taking a vacation in Fall/Winter '09. There will be 16 of us.

Any reccomendations on places that you've stayed for Vacation Homes that would hold this amount of people?

What were the Pros/Cons of each? Would you stay there again?

Thank you!! :cheer2:

Check out 7 and 8 bedroom pool homes in Formosa Gardens Estates, Emerald Island, Acadia Estates and Rolling Hills. These are about 5 - 7 minutes from Disney Animal Kingdom.

Another idea may be to rent two homes side by side:

These two 6 bedroom homes in WH are side by side and owned by the same person: http://valhallavillas.com/gallery.htm Have gotten good reviews.

Hi, good advice about the developements with the big 7 bedroom home...just to take it a step farther. We owned one of the big seven bedroom homes in Emerald Island and we used to ask some questions to help rentors make a decision. First of all, 16 is the absolute max for a 7 bedroom home...and to be honest, that will crowded. The make-up of the group, ie, adults, adults staying as couple, teenagers, and then kids might make a difference as number and size of beds differs.

Also number of bathrooms is CRITICAL. You will see 7 bedroom homes with 3 or 4 bathrooms and that will really cramp you with 16. I would look at only 7 bedrooms with 5 1/2 or 6 bathrooms. This will usually give you 3 master suites with pvt baths for the adults and 2 1/2 or 3 baths for the kids. I do not think you want to rent a huge home and then be sharing baths in the morning getting ready for the parks.

Budget is the last issue...if you want to go absolutely first class and price is really no object I would go with the huge homes in Formosa Gardens...

These homes will be up to $3500/week with tax...not bad divided by 16 folks.
If budget is more of issue, search through all the homes at Formosa Gardens but then check out 7 bedroom and 6 BATH at Emerald Island.

Here is a link...you will notice a lot of 7bedroom 4baths...they are smaller than the 7/6 or 7/5 1/2 baths. Ask if the home is in THE ENCLAVE at Emerald Island...that is where all the bigger homes are located.
These will rent any where from $1200 to $2500/night...just be sure to check out the number and size of the beds. All will have very nice pools, game room and the location is great.

Also just scroll down past Emerald Island homes and there will be more Formosa Gardens homes...Some may be duplicates of the ones in the above link, but fun to look at...

Last Option is to do side by side 4 bedroom homes. It will cost more, but give you much more living room and family room space and two pool areas...a company like Allstar homes or Villadirect.com can help you locate side by side homes.

Good luck and have a great time...Ted

We stayed at Jura villa at Windsor Hills last December. It wouldn't hold all of you as its 6 bedroom but the same owners own the one next door (Gigha). Between the two villas, you would be really comfortable. We were really impressed with Jura. It was so much more than we expected. I would highly recommend.
