What's a good price for Thanksgiving week flights?

I am trying to swing thanksgiving week in WDW for our family of 4. I found jet blue tickets for $1000. We would have to cut our trip short for one day and drive 4hrs to get to the airport but we use to live in area we would flying out of so it would be fun to revisit it. Should I wait for southwest to extend their schedule to compare prices? What do you all think?

I am also thinking of renting DVC points for the first time so I would love feedback on that too!

I like Jetblue better than southwest, I like picking my seats and not having to worry about checking in exactly 24hrs. early (without paying extra). I also like the TV's :) (bring your own earbuds) I just bought tickets for beginning of nov, and paid $900 (family of 4) one way! so I think $1000 round trip is excellent. I've always thought the prices don't really go down the longer you wait.

I have wanted to rent DVC too, but haven't yet....

I've never actually flown Jet Blue but all those perks are very convincing! :cool1:

If you found tickets for a total of $1000 for 4 people, that is a great price. We go to WDW Thanksgiving week every year from San Diego. We are lucky to find prices under $300 pp with me looking weekly a year in advance.

That is an awesome price and I would pounce on that. We paid $1400 for 3 last year.

As far as renting DVC points for that week. That might be a bit harder. That week is super busy with DVC owners. Most of us make those reservation a full 11 months in advance. I won't say it is impossible, but the earlier you can commit to your dates the better.
