We are going on a 4 night Disney Cruise to the Bahamas in June and were wondering what to expect.

We have a deluxe ocean view room on one of the top levels. What are these rooms like?

We were interested in maybe getting one of those couples massage and facial sessions they have at the spa? Has anyone done that?

We heard about this Rainforest package where you pay $30 flat fee and have unlimited use of their steam rooms and also these showers that have different aromas in each shower room including a heated chaise lounge chair etc.... Has anyone tried this?

What are the must see and must dos on this trip?

Has anyone done the swimming with the dolphins excursion? How is it?

And any other advice you give will be appreciated since neither one of us has ever been on a cruise.

1) What to expect - A great time. Good food, wonderful service fun shows and activities to participate in. Too much to do in too little time to do it in.

2)Well a Delux Ocean View room is a room with a porthole (cat 8 or 9) If you have a cat 8 you will be on deck 5 or 6, if it's a cat 9 you'll be on deck 2. The rooms are identical, just different locations. They are very nice rooms. The porthole is about 4 feet in diameter so you get a really good view out.

3) Don't know about the spa treatments - never have gone there.

4) Rainforest Room - once again never done it but from what others have said your take on it is about right.

5) Must see/do: I like the rotational dinning and go to these for all dinners (never been to Palo for dinner yet - and I don't feel like I am missing out on anything). Shows in the Walt Disney Theater are great. The shows/activities that are between the dinner seatings (starting around 7:45 and lasting 30 minutes) are a lot of fun for the entire family. The adult shows later in the evening are a lot of fun too. Watching a sunrise from the ocean and the sunset into the ocean. Most importantly - you can't do everything that is offered so don't try - you will have to make some tough choices on what activities to miss. Read the daily Personal Navigator for activities and times. Back to dinner: since trying new foods is "risk free" try something you've never had before - if you don't like it they will bring you something else. If you feel like 3 desserts - go for it!

6) don't know about the dolphins - one of these days I am so there!

7) Relax and have a great trip!! Don't forget the sunscreen - the sun down there is brutal!

I highly suggest you read some trip reports on the trip report board. That's the best overall way to just get a feel for things. Then keep reading this forum. And ask any specific questions you've got.

I have done the rainforest room, and explain it in my trip report (I think it was on St. Thomas day).

Can't answer the dolphins questions, but again, I'm sure someone has done it and can answer if you post the specific question on the main cruise board.

Have a great cruise, and happy planning!

Where do I find the trip reports?

Passporters guide is a book that will answer a lot of your questions. I'm going on my first cruise in May and after reading the guide and these boards I feel like I already know the ship. The actual title is Passporter's Field Guide to the Disney Cruise Line and Its Ports of Call. You can buy it at Borders or Waldenbooks or you can get it online at www.passporter.com or www.amazon.com . I hope this will help you to find the information that you need. Passporter is a very easy read. My only regret is that I bought the paperback instead of the leather binder. :earboy2:
