Unless you miss heard the call or the CM didn't have a clue what call sign they were trying to get across...
10-96 means "switch to" at DisneyWorld. The parks have different radio frequencies. For example at MK there is a main frequency for operations that all managers and most CM's stay on. When you need a manager you would call them on the operations frequency and then depending on the situation (if it were to be something that would tie up the frequnecy for too long) you would say 10-96 to "one of the other frequnecies" so that you could talk without interferring with the main line.
At Disney anything with a 10 code does not pertain to guests, calls about situations with guests are signals... for example signal 70 is a lost child which is usually called out followed by the description. 10-9 is repeat, 10-26 is I acknowledge the call, 10-96 is switch to, 10-54 is negative...there are a lot of them.
