Whatever happened with the music?

There was a big thread a while back re Disney no longer playing Disney music aboard the ships - and we all emailed Disney. Just wondered from anyone who has sailed since then whether it made any diff, or if the Disney tunes are still gone... (sniff).

They still play some Disney music but not nearly as much as they used to. I missed it on our last cruise. We felt that using Disney music it set them apart from the other cruise lines but they must have thought it better to have a bigger variety of "adult" music.

Can you tell me if they play Christmas music on the ships in Dec? We love the holiday music at the resorts and it wouldn't be Christmas at the Polynesian, unless we could hear, "On the ..... day of Christmas, my Tutu gave to me..."

I love the idea of Christmas music during the holidays...not that we'll ever have the money to cruise that time of year !!! We cruise DCL for the beautiful ship, the service, the informality, and the split bath with tub. The Disney touches are interesting, but I would be just as happy with the same quality product without the mouse. DCL is the one vacation I've ever been on where I didn't think I could organize it/ make it so much better myself. Total relaxation.

just back from the Wonder and it seems to me that all the music was Disney. I could be wrong but I don't remember hearing non-Disney music while walking through the halls.

I know that when we cruised in March the Magic was still playing music. Alot of Disney. Alot of Jimmy Buffett, which was alright by me. I think that if they stopped the music that it would be a mistake.
