Are you still letting the kids go trick-or-treating? Are you letting them eat the candy right away or waiting 24 hours so that there are no flu germs on the packaging? Are you letting them attend parties?
I had thought I'd let them go trick-or-treating but no eating any homemade baked goods parents send into the school, no big parties and no eating the candy for 24 hours. I'm thinking I'll let them choose a ziploc bag full of stuff out of our own treat bowl and then they can only eat treats from that for at least the first 24 hours. I don't trust that people's hands are going to be clean and their bodies flu-free when they're handing out the candy or baking goodies for the class.

Not sure why they send them when they are ill. Especially with all the heightened awareness and this H1N1 strain.
