PICK ALREADY WOMAN!!!!!!!!!
Er... uh... well I was thinking Confessions, but then I thought "No you're probably listening to that one" then I wondered about "Mirror Mirror" but wasn't sure if you'd be in the mood for another Maguire so soon after "Son of a Witch" but of course then we could re read "Time Traveler's Wife"... it was awfully good.... then of course... then there's Issac's Storm...

;)

i just finished Confessions of an Ugly Step Sister for a book report...i liked it...a bit slow in the begining..but it picked up and turned out to be good!

Now im reading Wicked..because its my fix for not getting to see the show..i usually do this while listening to the soundtrack..im such a loser!

next up is Shadow Patriots..again..I would highly suggest this one its by Lucia St. Clair Robson (sp?) Its great for fans of historical fiction!

Gasp! I really probably should have one of those!

At the moment I am in book limbo. I have a friend I read with... it's my turn to choose the book and I've had a terrible time deciding. I'm torn between 1776, Issac's Storm and Mirror Mirror or Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister. Sigh. What'cha think Jennifer.... should it be another Maguire this time around? Yeah, let's do it! Now all I have to decide is which one...

I read "Mirror Mirro" and "Confessions", they were both really good.

Lives of the First Ladies. Started reading it at the hospital this afernoon while waiting for my son to have his surgery. Not bad if you're into American history. :)

I am reading "Full Blast" by Janet Evanovich with Charlotte Hughes. Next up will probably be "S is for Silence" by Sue Grafton.

Currently I'm reading Chicken Soup for the Nascar Soul.

I have to decide between Stories of Adoption(I'm adopted), the 5 people you meet in Heaven, & End of State(A left behind novel). All I have heard are very good, just very hard to choose which one LOL

I've just started "The Real Lincoln" by Thomas Dilorenzo. My DW bought "His Excellency", a biography of George Washington which is next on my reading list.

Just finished S is for Silence (Sue Grafton) and now reading Janet Evanovich's Full House - it's the first in a series of books she co-authored with Charlotte Hughes. I'm waiting for DH to finish watching the Sun Bowl so we can go to Borders (I have a GC burning a hole in my pocket!)

Million Little Pieces
My Friend Leonard both by James Frey
Something Borrowed by Emily Griffin
Light From Heaven by Jan Karon
Vanishing Act by Jodi Piccoult

All GREAT reads!

Thank you Pollito, it's always nice to hear some good reviews! :) Did you have a favorite between the two?

Janet Evanovich... love her books!

I'm struggling to get through A Feast for Crows by George R R Martin. Gosh, this series has gone downhill. I cannot wait to get Treason Keep by Jennifer Fallon.

I hate to hear that about the Martin book. It's my next to read. I flew thru the first three of his while I was on bed rest with my second pregnancy. It really helped me get thru. I was looking forward to reading this one.

Dance Upon the Air by Nora Roberts

I like the romance books since I have so little in my life.

I read Something Borrowed a while ago and my mom read the next one (Something Blue). She told me that I should read it, which is what I am doing now. Something Blue is with the same characters, but it is written through Darcy's eyes and picks up at the end of Something Borrowed.

Enjoy!! That's a great series.

I just started, A Lesson Before Dying by Ernest Gaines. My son needs to read it for school, looked interesting so I thought I give it a whirl.

Just like everyone else, I read Memoirs of a Geisha about 3-4 years ago, and I could not put the thing down, read it in like a day. Great story, I've heard the movie is not that good though.

I just finished that. Couldn't put it down. Now I want to read one of his other books.

My favorite Ken Follet book is The Pillars of the Earth, I've read it twice. I also just finished Whiteout and started The Thornbirds. I read this book probably 15 years ago and really liked it, but don't remember the plot. I found it in my old bedroom visiting my parents for christmas.

Im currently reading "Intelligence Wars: American Secret History from Hitler to Al-Queda" By Thomas Powers. :earseek: Yeah, I like lite reading. :rolleyes1 Its a good book. Lots of info and history that I wasn't to familar with. Becuase of that it has taken me a bit longer to read than most books normally take. :hourglass Plus the type is an the smallish side. I am enjoying it though. :)

I just read "The Lovely Bones." My daughter just finished reading these books (a trilogy) by Adriana Trigiani. Highly recommend them. (I read them, too.)

Big Stone Gap
Big Cherry Holler
Milk Glass Moon

Oooh, I can't wait.

I didn't realize that Phillippa Gregory had a book called The Constant Princess. Is it new? She is one of my favorite authors but she has lost me on some of the books (didn't like the Meridon series too much).

On a side note--Wicked tonight for you?

Yes, The Constant Princess is new. I think it came out early last month. I didn't like the Meridion books either but there was a stand alone I liked called Wise Woman.

Yes, we saw Wicked on Friday. Our seats turned out to be fantastic and the performance was very good. However fit is ever adapted to film, I hope they use the book instead. I was familiar with the music so I knew it was going to be different and light but I found the reworking of the story and several characters to be a bit overmuch.

I loved "Digital Fortress" and "Deception Point". Two other good ones are John Grisham's "The Brethren" and Fern Michaels "The Real Deal" which I bought in the Wilderness Lodge Gift shop during Hurricane Frances so I would have something to read while sequestered in our room for 24 hours. I really enjoyed that book.
