Whatcha get?

We skipped our present giving this year. Everyone in the family's grown, so we were able to just let it pass and take it easy. Maybe in '09 we'll go all out to make up for this time around :) Still enjoying the time off though! I was really in need of a vacation!

I was really lucky this year. My favorite gift though was a Cricut! I am SO excited and can't wait to use it.

My sister has one of these and just loves it. This year she got new software for different shapes...have no idea which ones, just know she was excited about one with a mug with steam coming from it.

Have fun!

I had two really good gifts this year!! Besides clothes, chocolates, and the normal unmentionables, I got an iPod Nano and a second battery for my video camera.

I love my iPod - I've been downloading things for the past two days!!!!

Ok, I turn 23 next month and I got another American Girl doll. I needed Addy to complete my collection of the 5 original girls from when I started collecting, and I LOVE Addy, so I got her!

Actually, most of what I got was American Girl stuff. And New Kids on the Block stuff.......

DH and I got a new videocamera before our trip in September, which has been allowing us to play back great memories ever since. It was a great trade-off to having boxes for us under the tree.

I did get some fun things - a new coat and a Wii Fat from my parents, great gift cards and some pretty jewlery from my in-laws, and some comfy PJs from my kids. :goodvibes The best thing in the world was that the issues my mom and I were having seem to have been resolved for the moment. We're not used to having issues, so this was a big deal. This was the best (though belated) Christmas present.

I have to admit, the one thing I wanted most, though, (other than the thing with my mom) I didn't get. All I wanted for Christmas was three healthy kids!!! No one told me that when you have the third, the germs multiply exponentially!!! :rotfl: We're a walking apothecary these days...

Here's one I haven't seen posted yet...

I got racing snowshoes! (Hey, I live in Maine...whaddya gonna do?)

I am a runner and now I can do snowshoe racing as well. Signed up for my first snowshoe 5k! :cool1:

The wife and I went light on each other this year. So here's my list;

1) Transformers-No, not the new crappy ones you find in Target. I'm talking the old school Generation One 'Bots! I got an original Optimus Prime...STILL IN THE BOX!!! That alone my my Christmas.

2) Movies...Iron Man, The Hulk, Hellboy 2, The Simpsons Movie and Monty Python's Flying Circus the entire series box set.

I gave the wife new silk PJs, a sweet cashmere (sp?) hat, gloves, and scarf set and two movies; Metropolis and The Watcher in the Woods.

Oh yeah...and a killer day at her favorite spa she can use whenever she wants!

I got DH the Keurig coffee machine he wanted, that would be his best gift

DH got me a docking station/stereo thing for my i-pod, tickets to see Britney Spears when she comes to Nassau Colliseum in March and a new car!!
I still am in shock, I haven't even sat in it yet, I am afraid to touch it, I've never had anything that nice before.

The bestest = a calendar for 2009 - my daughter took the 2008 pictures of my grandson and went onto "snapfish" and made a calendar for me. Every month in 2009 has a series of pictures from that month in 2008 on it. :lovestruc

I got all teary-eyed when I opened it.

The 2nd bestest = Wii & Wii "Fat" & Animal Crossing.... now the dilemma-play AC or do my training :confused3 - at least when I'm busy playing that @#$ addicting game my hands are so busy I don't eat as much :lmao:

I can't pick a best so I'll just say everything I got (it's not much)

Sleeping Beauty DVD
Toy Story 2
Book-Walt Disney:An American Original by Bob Thomas (GREAT book so far)
new can opener (I really needed one!)
MySims Kingdom for the Wii
Spun glass angel set

And a few other small things of no great note.

All in all, a lot of really great gifts!!!!

We had a "no buy" Christmas in my family.

Money is just too tight for too many of us so there were no physical gifts.

DH and I did, however get to visit and share time with our friends and family who live out of state.

We traveled to our Home town and in the 6 days we were there we visited with:

2 Aunts
9 siblings and spouses
6 cousins
16 neices and nephews
8 Great Neices and Nephews
43 friends.

It was a Very Good Christmas.

I think that this is really wonderful. After all, Christmas isn't about gifts and I think if nothing else (depending on your religion and devotion to it) it's about love for others.

Great post!

I got a whole bunch of good stuff!

New Kenneth Cole shirts (LOVE my wife's taste! :))
Tales of the Beedle of the Bard
The Pixar Shorts DVD
Versace Men cologne
a nice rolling carry-on computer bag
A Blu-ray player

My wife got clothes, the Deluxe Version of A Christmas Story, and a calendar for her wall at work. oh yeah. And a surprise podcast cruise. :)

ok this might sound corny but my best gift was the card I got from my DBF's dad it said how I was like a daughter to him!! I wanted to cry! I knew he liked me but this was just so sweet!!
