As soon as I get my butt out of this chair and away from the computer I

...need to vacuum
...do more laundry
...wash the dishes
...clean the bathroom
...take the dog for a walk

...take DD and her "client" (she's babysitting) to a Rec. swim

How 'bout you? Are you doing anything more exciting than I am?

I'm trying to get motivated to get out of the house.
I have to go to the pet store and buy dog food and a birthday gift for a friend.

We are heading out to an easter egg hunt at the local supermarket and then to watch DH perform in a magic show at 2:00.

But I have to wash some clothes and buy a ham sometime today.

I actually have a lot of stuff to do, but I'm trying to avoid it! :earseek: I've got to meet up with some friends later and we are going to MD. I'm hoping that the trafic won't be too bad! We are going to eat at a Rainforest Cafe! Yippee!!! :cool1:

COOKING! Potatoes are cooked and cooling for potatoe salad. Polish sausage is in the oven. Waiting for first layer of jello to set, second layer is mixed and cooling. Need to get off this computer and chop celery and green pepper for potatoe salad. Need to get baskets and boxes ready for kids and grandkids and after all that run vacuum and clean bathroom!! Just another relaxing Saturday!!!

And then some more books after those...

Our office is moving temporarily and when we come back, our office library and bookshelves will be gone to reduce the space we use in the building. (we're a book publisher).

Anyway, for the last week, they have been literally giving employees first pick at thousands of free books since everything must go. There was a big sign up that said "books : the gift that keeps on giving" or "books make good basket fillers!". They wanted these books cleared out.

Everything from the newest releases to the old out of print stuff. Everything from $3.99 kids paperbacks to $150 coffee table art books. Pretty much every employee who wanted to get some books wound up with over 1000 titles (sometimes multiples). The rest, probably a few thousand, will be donated to local charities and hospitals.

I'd say we (Chris and I) probably got about 1500 books between us. Most of them are going to friends and family and today is the fun day I get to open up all these boxes and sort the books so I can bring them when I go see my family tomorrow.

Most people, I've found, unless the work in a library or a publishing company or warehouse or bookstore have no concept of just how many books that is or what a huge task it is to sort through them.

I'm taking a break now.

We're going to the music store today to talk to them about buying my son his first electric guitar! :) My little Eric Clapton in the making. :)

supposed to be doing paper work and finishing up several estimates, but is actually taking a break from cleaning the pool which we didnt get covered last fall:) yuck. nasty. green. tempted to just drain tha darn thing but currently attempting to get it back swimmable:)

We're waiting for a contractor from a local pool company to arrive, we are thinking about putting an inground pool in our yard!

I think we're going to take our dog and rabbit to visit the Easter Bunny and get a picture at the animal shelter! We've taken our dog to see Santa Claus for the past few years, but we've never taken her to see the Easter Bunny, and we've never taken our rabbit either.

After that I have work from 4-12.

Dh has fitted a playground in our front garden for the girls easter present. I have been working on my new garden pond. I took out the old one as the fish and frogs have outgrown it.

samething I have done over this whole spring break!! I am set-up with laptop in my living room...studying, in pain...feel a little better due to the predisone...I cleaned, studyed and did laudry yesterday, today and tomorrow, intensley studying!!! I started at 330 this morning ...got my final research paper all lined up!!! now studying the skull

I am looking out the window, wondering why it only rains on weekends.

I have to get ready for my family from new york to come over for our easter dinner...Oh that remind me...i have to cleAn my room...

Trying to get better. Started the week with laryngitis, got a stomach virus in the middle of the week (yuk!) and now I have some kind of respiratory thing going on. I feel like "you know what". I'm hoping the Easter Bunny brings me some antibiotics!

Studying eh?

Need some BOOKS????

Okay. I have 5 cartons full to go to my mothers. I think those are all set. Now I get to figure out which ones are going to which of Chris' many siblings' families...

I swear, everytime I get a pile put away and sorted 3 more piles spring up...and I've run out of recycled cartons. I think it's time for a run to staples to pick up a few new ones...

Went to the bank this morning and now I have nothing to do but dread going to my DD's MIL's for Easter dinner tomorrow.. Nice woman - nice to invite me - but she can NOT cook to save her soul.. I offered to help but she declined..

Would one of you be so kind as to save me a little something to eat when I get back tomorrow night? Thanks!

:rotfl: :rotfl:
