Leaving in 32 days!:cool1: I'm getting sooooo excited and have already started a packing list. Is there anything you wish you had packed once you got to Mickeys house? I have two DDs (3 and 6) and I hope I don't get there and say "Oh I wish I brought that!" Any ideas? Thanks

Well since I pretty much brought everything for comfort (mole skin, immodium, etc.) the only thing that I absolutely wished that I had brought was a nice skirt to wear to our signature dinners!

I got the impression that I'd be fine with shorts and a nice top, well although I wasn't the only one dressed in shorts at California Grill. I would have felt much better wearing a nice skirt and sandals.

things i always make sure to pack, important things, but would hate to forget are prescription meds, and glasses (actually forgot these one time and it was not fun or easy!)

I always pack and ship a box down to the resort filled with items that I know we will need, but to expensive to buy down there. Sunscreen, tylenol, motrin, neosporin, blister/feet aids (for me, I haven't found a pair of shoes that don't give me blisters!!!), I also send down juice boxes, fruit snacks, and snacky type food for the room. The most important thing is to start a list now, write down what you use on a daily basis and make sure you pack it. Two years ago we took a very spur of the moment 4 day trip, staying at the AKL, and I packed everything for my daughter and husband, and when we arrived and unpacked, guess what--I forgot half of my clothes and even my underwear, Thank gosh the gift shop stocks them !!! Don't forget to take your kids favorite blankets or toys. That could be a disaster in my house if we forgot "blankie".

I wish I had packed . . . more band-aids and antibiotic cream.

We are going in Jan. and when packing I plan on making a little medicine kit - ibuprofin, Immodium, Tums, children's tylenol. I also plan on packing my little boy's blanket and their Nintendo DS's for some down time entertainment. I also plan on packing some snacks from home and throwing in a good book to read by the pool.

A garbage bag to put your backpack in for going on Kali River Rapids. didn't do this the first time, remembered the second time and my bag was dry going on the ride with me.

Hats for everyone, including DH (who claims to not need one). They cut the sunload immensely!

Bath toys. Now, we don't go whole hog, but pack two/three. At WDW a nice relaxing soak at the end of the day does wonders for her temperment, and a plastic cup and water bottle get boring fast. So we bring two squirters for games.

Glow sticks! They're cheap around here,
but way expensive at WDW and they're fun
at the parks and also are a good nightlight:thumbsup2
How about a disposable camera for each of your dds?
I also pack a new book, game, and have made a
"special" autograph book/shirt for my dd.

Have fun!!!!!

Wet ones. I was forever wetting a napkin with my water and then having it disintegrate while cleaning my niece's hands.

More stroller hooks! You have to double them up for heavy items or they break! They are a life-saver when you have enough!

And this is possibly the BEST thing I brought:

We drove down to the BCV and I wish I would have packed our pool noodles. It would have been one less thing to pack. I also take glow necklaces--it keeps me from having to buy a $15 light-up toy in the park.
I really like to visit the Disney store before our trip and I buy stuff that is on sale and I take it with me. I have surprised the kids with t-shirts, washcloths and new pj's.

I have to second the glow sticks idea! You can get a large pack at the Dollar Tree or Walmart has them 50% off right now in the Halloween section. So they are about .50 there. Huge saving over park price.

For me...painkillers!!! I had totally forgotten that there are times when I'm walking around a lot that my knee and hip starts hurting. Two days into our stay my knee was KILLING me. I even had a limp but thankfully was using our son's stroller as a crutch. I'll never forget my painkillers again!

A night light. The kids don't like it really dark, but leaving on the bathroom light is too much light for me. So next time, a night light will be on the list.

Never thought about the disposable cameras, great idea!!! Since we drive from Delaware, I've been buying some new DVDs, games, books, and toys for the ride down. We always have to have enough zyrtec, benadryl, motrin, tylenol, etc. for both kids + adults to make it through the week.

I don't carry alot of stuff around the parks for my DDs, but sometimes if we're in line, or in a restaurant with no crayons they're bored. So, I started carrying mini-notebooks and mini-pens (one for each DD). That way we can play tic tac toe, or they can color or whatever and its something small to carry to keep them busy.

And scissors...they come in handy often. In fact, I now carry a SMALL (like for embroidery) scissors in my bag at all times when at Disney.
