Amen! Stitch's Great Escape has got to be the stupidest, nastiest smelling and painful ride. Those shoulder harnesses bouncing down on my shoulders was horrible

My daughter loves Stitch (the character) so we had to revisit it the last time we went. I would also skip Prim-evil Hurl but she loves it so I put up with it.

I HATED Primevil whirl hurl. It made me feel nasty for hours.

I have to agree with other posters. I would not do Stitch or Drew Carey again. It's been 4 yrs since we've done the Drew Carey thing and I can't believe it's still there. Who enjoys that? And do this day I can still smell Stitch's chili dog breath.

I've done it twice, and hated it both times. The feeling of not being able to move was horrible. The pressure made my eyes water and I couldn't even lift my arm to wipe away the tears!

Oh, and the Nemo ride in Epcot (whatever it's called). It was SO DULL.

1. american adventure. it gives me flashbacks of middle school...if you paid me all the money in the world i would never be 13 again! my dd is doing awfully well though, im proud.

That's funny! I had similar thoughts sitting there watching the Presidents ... I had visions of the Alistair Cooke/American History film series we watched when I was in jr. high! I have to say though that I think I would enjoy them much more now than I did then!

That's interesting - two different perspectives!

We like relaxing in the A/C having a nice meal and seeing the characters in an enviorment that has a bathroom. I could fix up my hair and make up for pictures. A table to have all your gear out to have autographed. I had the personalised park maps signed last year and autograph books.
I hated the pics we looked all sweaty and red....lol TS is the way to go for us.
You wont waste time if you make you ADR an hour before the park opens like a Donnalds in AK.

DONT SLEEP IN! Well maybe one or two days.
Big thing for me is getting up early and knocking out all our favorite rides first!

OK, just for the record I think you should do everything at WDW once just to see it for yourself. YOU might like it when someone else doesn't. But here's my list:

Backlot Tour(since they added the Pearl Harbor stuff)
Festival of the Lion King(twice was enough- I'm done!)

Haven't been to DW since 2000 so I'm know I'm dated but I was really disappointed to hear how bad Stitch was since I had an anxiety attack on AE on our honeymoon! I was stupid enough to try it even though I pretty much knew I probably wouldn't like it but I never expected that! My harness locked on me right before the lights went out and I couldn't let anyone know it was WAY TOO TIGHT and I was slumped down in the seat!!! That coupled with the fact that I am clautrophobic so I ended up almost taking my poor DH's hand off! OK, so maybe I'm a big sissy but I was kissing the ground when we finally got out ot there!
Was hoping for a different experience on Stitch but I don't think I will bother!

I'm sorry you had a bad experience, that bites.

Before we went, one of my bgf's told me that in AE when you feel the harness coming down, sit up very tall before it locks, I did and then I had "breathing room" which is important if you're prone to anxiety or panic, I try to remember this (Unofficial guide should tell you which rides are scary or have harnesses)

At the risk of being flamed, I am not a huge fan of Space Mountain (too jerky) or the Jungle Cruise (very corny). I will go on them with other people but would not bother if I was by myself.

I love Disney though, and would live there if I could.

Could someone please tell me the concept of the Stitch ride? Please don't spare the horribleness of it. We waited in line for it and DS9 started having major anxiety about it even in line. I never really understood why -- he LOVES Stitch, and even though we heard it was a bit crazy, I didn't think it could be that bad. DS did have the flu while we were there so he was a bit out of sorts (we were at MK after several days in the room) so we had no problem just jumping out of line and forgetting about it. It just wasn't worth his discomfort.

After reading so many posts about Stitch really being awful, I am SO GLAD we skipped it! However, we did find the gift shop and bought a Stitch lightswitch cover. Listening to DS9's wishes AND buying him a Stitch souvenir= one happy camper!

My DS7 has not forgiven me for walking right by it and not going in during our last trip, I'm sure we'll have to do this attraction when we visit in April and hoping then he'll see that "mom knows best"

I wouldn't stay at the AKL again, was not all that to us, animals were cute but not worth the extra money and we has issues with not so helpful front desk staff.
Also food at Mexico in Epcot was not worth the $$
