What would your strategy for AK be if these were on your list?

We have only done AK once in 03 and we did the safari and It's tough to be a bug show. No one was crazy about this place. When we return this year this is what I'd like to see in order of importance.

EE
Lion King show
Nemo show
KRR
Dinosaur

What strategy would you recommend? We plan on doing EE first of after arriving on a non EMH morning. :listen:

Thanks

EE and KRR were crazy when we were there the last week in May. We had no problem getting into the Lion King in the afternoon and Dinosaur had no wait in the afternoon. I dodn't know what the nemo show is.

We rode KRR and FP it too so we could ride twice. Got FP later for EE and did the shows, dinosaur, etc until the FT time came along.

You will probably have to FS either KRR or EE--do the other things as fill in.

Thanks, the Nemo show is coming out late this year at AK. Were you drenched on KRR? I was trying to hold out for this to be our last ride if we were going to be drenched.

Not drenched at all. We were disappointed. I've gotten wetter on the raft rides at Six Flag parks.

But look at the folks coming off if you get the chance. Or ask on this board a day or 2 before you leave. They may not have had the water on full throttle when we were there! We also didn't get wet on Splash Mtn. like we have before. My dh asked a CM and she said that it wasn't on full as there was a problem with one of the pipes..

Thanks, I on the other hand do NOT want to get DRENCHED. I can't stand to be wet, but I'd like to experience the ride. :3dglasses

We rode the rapids twice. the 1st time one of my kids and I put on our ponchos because we believed the signs and the UG. We were the only ones and I didn't want to be drenched. Drenched to me means wet head to toe to the skin. I don't like wet clothes (a little I can deal with but wet to the skin not fun). Of course, the rest of the family made fun of us but we weren't detered. The second time we didn't wear the ponchos because we just didn't get that wet. I got a bit on the bottom of my shorts and around my shoulders.

(I should addv my disappointment was more related to the fact I believed the hype that we'd get drenched and it turned out not to be true).

I would ...
Grab a FP for EE
Ride Safari (you CANNOT miss this) the cooler Nov/Dec weather will help the animals active
See the Lion King show
Grab a FP for Dinosaur
See the Nemo Show
Ride EE
Grab FP for KRR if its a busy day (shouldnt be that time of yr unless that is the holiday)
Have lunch
Ride Dino
Ride KRR
I like riding it last so you dont get wet.

I would start with EE, then Nemo (if open), Dinosaur, KRR, and then Lion King....it is a loop of the park. If the park is really busy, I would do EE, Dinoaur, and KRR first.

This sounds good, however I will just eliminate the safari because we have done it already and we are not interested in seeing it again(and this was 1st thing in the morning late November).

This sounds like a good plan. Thanks

I would go directly to EE and get in line, when over, get a FP for KRR, then do the Nemo show if sch'd timing is right, if not, do Dinosaur ride, then over to the KRR. You'll be done in this section of the park. You can head over to the Lion King Show, but you may want to stop off at Flame Tree for a quick lunch first.

The last time we were on KRR we got soaked, but we had removed socks and shoes. A time previous to this, our shoes and socks were soaked and we had to walk around the park in wet shoes.
