If you went to a wedding shower held in your honor, and saw as part of the decorations a 4" Mickey doll dressed up to fit the shower theme, would you think the Mickey was supposed to be a gift for you or just a decoration?

I wouldn't assume, however, if I was throwing the shower, I would offer it to the guest of honor.

Just a decoration. But my family and friends know how much I love all things Disney, so whom ever brought it would wind up giving it to me. :D

I wouldn't take it. I would wait for the hostess to tell me that if was for me.

Lori P. :)

I would comment on it so much and just pack it with the gifts, until someone said....nope that's not part of the deal. ::yes::

Unless it had a gift tag attached to it with my name on it, I'd assume it was meant to be a decoration.

If I was the hostess, though, such a decoration would surely also be given as a gift to the guest of honor.

both - we always dress up a bear couple or some sort of stuffed animal style bride & groom for who's getting married. Who decorates with things not intended for the bride to keep?

I always err on the side of caution, so I would assume it was just a decoration and then been pleasantly surprised if it was for me. Now we're all curious... why do you ask??? Do tell. ;)

LOL Lori!! No. :)

Deb -- I ask because I'm going to be holding a surprise shower for my best friend and part of the theme involves Disney and I have a 4-foot Mickey I was thinking of decorating.

phew, that's good ;)

Could you decorate one for her to keep? That way if she assumed it was hers that's ok and wouldn't put you in a sticky mickey situation ;)

If I can find one, yep. That's why I was asking. If the general thought was it would be for the bride-to-be, I wanted to get another for her. If not, I would use my own.

Thanks!!

Since I'm a Mickey fan, and everyone that knows me knows to get me Mickey stuff (and/or I Love Lucy stuff;)), I would assume it would be for me.
