Thanks to Kayla's Mom, we will be using F2 Ballons to make DD a sutom gift basket. Vacation Planners had a nice one for $113 but we didn't need an autograph book or mickey ears. I know I want a 12inch Michey/ Minnie Plush, mickey lollies. Can anyone offer some recommendations for an 8 year old??
Thanks!

I love doing gift baskets for the kids, it's a great way to start the trip out and is soooo magical!!! We've done them every Disney trip and will keep on doing them.

Plushes are always good. A disposable camera would be cool, or some Disney Dollars for their own spending money. Some type of Disney pen would be good for their autograph books, or a fairy or princess wand or some play figurines?? If you think they might like pin trading get them a pin and lanyard!! My DD7 loves the pin trading. If it is their first time throw a "First Visit" button in there. Good luck and I'm sure she'll love it no matter what's inside!! Have a great trip!!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Thanks for the response. She will have a lanyard and starting pins as we have some we purchased in advance. But extras would never hurt. She
s a brat :hippie: and has a nicer digital camera than I do. :rotfl2: And she will have some Disney Dollars but more are always good. Anyone have some good candy or treat ideas that maybe the company could find locally?

We just got back from our trip and disney planning sent us 2 platters of goodies to the room...Mickey Head cookies (short breadish) covered in chocolate and Mickey head rice crispy treats dipped in chocolate... Our kids loved them...maybe they could add that to the basket..

I'm not sure if your company uses items from inside the park or if they shop at local non-disney shops. I dont know too much about the in-park stores. So, keep that in mind when reading../
How about a shirt, or socks (target currently has Tink ones in their dollar section) Hair accessories or jewelry? Not that exciting, but walmart currently has a new line of Disney fruit snacks-- Mickey and Friends, Tink, Princesses, Toy Story, and a few others.
Oh, how about a letter or picture from a character (assuming your company is good at forgerie)

Glad to hear your kids liked them! Vacation planning suggested we order those through room service and we were planning that! Were the cookies very big? I've had the rice crispies before but I think DD would like the cookies better. Did it come with the milk? I saw on the ammenities list you could get it with milk

Thanks for the idea! I am supposed to give her a wish list. So we will see what they come up with!

How about a 16GB iPod Touch preloaded with her favorite Disney movies and shows?

Maybe a little much, but if I were 8 years old, that would be AWESOME. And something to pass the time while standing in lines for attractions.

I swear, if I knew you in real life you would be my best friend.

In fairness to me, an iPod Touch is not that expensive compared to how some people spend on trips to DLR. Staying in a regular room at GCH rather than a concierge room would save more than enough to buy one.

Plus, it would be so AWESOME!!! And what is the point of having money if you can't use it to buy the most important things in life, like your child's love?
