What would you pick ?

Date night for sure! As much as I always wanted to believe my children would be crushed if I didn't give them 110% of my attention, that was not the case. Date night.

In room babysitting would be much cheaper than the kids club at $60 per kid, and I’ve heard the babysitters are great. If you’re gonna use the new kids club, get there early, it’s first come first served.

If you decide to do the Halloween Party, do it on a day that is otherwise a non-park day. You can arrive at 4 o'clock on you party ticket and 4-12 is a full day. If you try and do a regular park day on top of that, everyone will get tired (especially if they are in costume the whole time) and you will regret it.

Also...there is a lot of rain in Aug...what if you spend all that money for MNSSHP tickets and then its pouring that night? The tickets are non-refundable

I dont know how many park days you are planning but how about if you go to MNSSHP and cut one of your Disney days out.....then you would have enough for both! You can get into the party at 4pm so honestly it is like having a whole day in the MK! We have gone several times and even if you take time for trick or treating and the dance parties and the parade, you still have plenty of time for rides. The thing that takes the longest at the parties is waiting to see some of the unusual characters. Plus, as someone mentioned August is HOT and HUMID so my advice is to get up super early to rope drop parks and then spend the afternoon and early evening poolside before returning to the parks! We are annual passholders but when we werent I made do without park hopping and it worked out just fine!

The in room babysitting seems kind of boring. They are accepting reservations for the Pixar kids club so we would have spot.
Also 6-10pm would be about $100 plus tip for the in room babysitting. At least for the $65 each they would have dinner included too. It not going to be "cheap" no matter what we do but we did have so much fun last time :)

We have 6 park days planned so even cutting out another park day would only save $40 since the tickets are cheaper the longer you stay. August is pretty brutal and we have done it before. We do it the way you mentioned rope drop and afternoons swimming back at the resort. Im so on the fence for the party. My kids are not really into meeting characters so it would be mostly for the rides, fireworks, and maybe the parades/shows...the 5 yr old is not one for sitting for too long and if its hot its even worse. Now that someone mentioned the possibility of a rain out ...that would really be awful.

You’re right, I don’t know why I thought the Pixar thing was first come first served.
