What would you name a black kitten?/Update post #80

We found 3 kittens on a stormy afternoon, two black and one gray. They gray one is named Cloudy. The black ones are Thunder and Lightning. Lightning got adopted by our friends and renamed Isabel Lightning.

Thunder is a big black cat and his name fits him.

My sister had a black cat for a very long time. Her name was Onyx (I saw someone else posted this also). Named after the black onyx stone.

My previous black kitties were named Shadow, Ebony, Midnight, Nightmare and Vadar. My current black kitty is named Obi. The kitty we were going to get had blue eyes, so I thought Old Blue Eyes (Obe). But DS fell in love with the black cat w/ green eyes. So we kept the same name, just spelled it different. (ds is a star wars fan!)

Named a former adult black shelter cat "Magic". That lasted about a day and 1/2 until she named herself: Shadow (followed me EVERYWHERE).

I have a black cat named Magic! Her name stuck though - we used to call her Black Magic, she's sort of mysterious but recently she's become really prissy so now she's Miss Magic. Her name is perfect for her!

Our black cat is named Shadow because my son insisted. My next door neighbor's black cat is named Boo. We are so original! LOL!

I was lobbying hard for Lucifer after the cat in Cinderella.

It doesn't exactly fit the black cat 'standard name'. But it certainly fits the cat.

They've both got white faces and paws...if they were all black then it would fit.

My roommates named our black cat Wesley (The Princess Bride) since he was dressed all in black like the dred pirate Roberts.
