What would you men do??

We booked our October 2008 week to the Fort! We'll be celebrating our 11th anniversary, Halloween and dh's BIG 4-0 birthday! I asked him where he wanted to go for his birthday, and he said "Lets go back to the Fort!".

I'm wanting to do something special for dh and I'm trying to come up with some ideas. So far I've thought of....Driving Experience, Parasailing, Key's to the Kingdom Tour, Fishing Excursion, Lunch w/an Imagineer (not sure if they still do this), Segway tour...or any combination of the above??

What would you guys enjoy? Or ladies, what do you think your dh would enjoy most?

We'll probably take the kids to MNSSHP and have a nice "adult only dinner" for our anniversary. This is something special for him....

Any thoughts, ideas and/or advice is appreciated!

Personally...I would LOVE the fishing excursion and Segway tour........then an evening of bbq and beer...then a good 15 minutes of adult fun followed by lies of how incredible I am........ Perfect bday for me, I'll be 40 in July.

If he likes steak - then I highly recommend Shula's for dinner!! Definitely a man-type atmosphere -- dark wood, football menus, football pictures on the walls, etc. And, the steaks are the best in all of WDW (IMHO)!

Boy..I was a little nervous when I saw the title of the thread. Figured you were in for trouble. I'm actually surprised that Rog put the fishing excursion and segway tour first.
I know my husband would enjoy the Driving Experience. Personally I have no desire to race around a track a zillion miles an hour, but apparently this does appeal to the men.

Id much rather fish than die in a burning vehicle!!! But I know that wouldnt be the popular choice for most guys. Call me a wuss, but being lucky enough to walk away from 2 motorcycle accidents, I aint pushing my luck any further.

Actually I meant your choice of activity..be it fishing or what have you..before what would be considered the "adult" part of the present...

If he likes steaks Shula's is a great idea and then some privacy back in the TT for desert which you will prepare and present with just the two of you will make the anniversary so special. Trust me I have 38+ years of experience with living with the same beautiful lady.

ON EDIT: from the first thing in the morning just do the extra things like breakfast and such, but don't go overboard. I guess the fishing thing could be nice, but I would just rather watch a quiet movie with the wife and enjoy that time together than doing the more manly stuff.

shula's is at the swan or dolphin. I'd personally take him there, and then to the mens clubs in Tampa. It's what I'd want for my 40th...... of course the fishing thing sounds cool too.

We have never been to Shula's...that place sounds great! That actually might be the place we have our anniversary dinner!

I just thought of another cool thing...the Food & Wine Fest will be going on...mmmm, all that good food, wine/beer!

I'd say the driving experience and a round of golf, but that's my dh. He would love the "adult time" to, at anytime if the day I suppose, men are pretty easy to please that way..teehee

We will be there Oct. 18-26th, maybe we will see ya! Maybe your girls could go swimming with us and give you that "adult time" you speak of, though I haven't seen in a while.
