What would you men do??

BDRog - you wuss!!:lmao:

Steak and the driving experience ....you can't go wrong!! :thumbsup2

Maybe an illumination cruise after dinner?

OOOO, I like that cruise idea!

Another dinner option for a meat eater is Texas de Brazil. Forget the sports paraphernalia. This place is about meat and lots of it. All you can eat, Brazilian style. www.texasdebrazil.com

I 2nd, 3rd and 4th that! Great place and melt in your mouth meats...beef, pork., chicken and lamb. I felt I should clarify meats.:scared1:

You know, I forgot about that cool wood boat "breathless" that you can view Illuminations from! That would be nice! :thumbsup2

I asked dh last night what "special" thing he'd like to do for his birthday and he surprised me with his response. He loves fishing and would enjoy racing...but he said that he wants to do something that you can only do at Disney. His favorite park is Epcot, and he is also fascinated with historical Disney facts and imagineering (like me).

MMMmmmm! I love that place!! When I lived in Dallas my old office was in that part of Carrollton that is just north of Addison. I went to the one in Addison a few times. LOVE IT! :thumbsup2 The only problem is that we would have to leave Disney property :headache:

I don't know how adventurous your hubby is.....food wise. My DH and I went to Disney alone one weekend. He did the driving experience, which he loved! We saw Cirque Du Soliel, which was breathtaking! We ate at Restaurant Marrakesh which is loaded with ambiance. In fact, the whole Morrocan Pavillion exudes sensuality. Not a bad place to visit....alone....with your husband.....;) If meat is what he's after....they do serve some scrumptious lamb!

Hey, I am going to be 40 in september, can I come too?

I would like the segway tour, and the keys to the kingdom tour thingy. And of course a giant hunk of meat and a potato are always welcome!

The race thing is too "organized" for me. I have driven my personal car at over 150, they only let you go 130, and you have follow a pace car, yawn :lmao:

For my 40th, I will be lucky if Erica takes me to burger king and gives me a kiss on the cheek.... lol

My DH would like a good steak w/ potatoes, but pretty much nothing else (except the "adult" time). Being a former Animation Artist, he's pretty much seen it. I know he wouldn't really care for the imagioneer meal (well, he might, but would probably know about as much as the imagioneer anyway:lmao: ), b/c he's tried to get into imagioneering & b/c of his Animiation background, they didn't want him in there. Long story, but basically, bad blood between the animators & imagineers at times.:confused3
Any hoo, he might like the keys to the kingdom tour too, but then again, might know it all there too!! Ugh, sometimes he's hard to please!!

(For his 35th b-day last year, I flew in his kids from his first marriage for a wk, they were homeschooled at the time. Of course, his ex had to come too b/c she's too scared to let them fly by themselves, even on a direct flight.)

Your husbands a cartoonist???? Man, thats very cooool.

If cartoonist and animtors arent the same thing, I appologize. I dont mean any disrespect, Im just ignorant..I actaully AM NOT being sarcastic this time!!!

That's interesting about the imagineers and animators not getting along...I haven't heard that story before! Maybe my dh should have lunch with your dh to get the inside scoop! :rotfl:

I'll second Cirque Du Soleil. I did this as a surprise on one of DH's birthdays. I was concerned that it wouldn't be "he-man" enough for him, but he loved it.

Also, if your DH just wants to hang out at the fort, order a birthday cake through Disney Dining and they will deliver it to TE. You can have your own little party on the beach...did this last year for DH's birthday.

Don't forget to get the "It's my Birthday" pin. DH got his pin at Boma's our first day at WDW on a Saturday. The server asked us if we were celebrating anything and I said "not until Thursday, it's his birthday." Well, she grabbed a pin and wrote his name on it and told him to wear it everyday at WDW. It was great, every park we went to, CM's were coming out of the woodwork to wish him a Happy Birthday. The expression on DH's face when the first CM said, "Happy Birthday Kevin!" He looked at me like "do I know him?" He had forgotten the pin had his name on it. :lmao:

When we were there in October, I took DH to Universals Blue Man Group show. His birthday was at the end of the month, so he got an early present. Kickin' show!

He loved it.

The Blue Man Group was on tour here in town last month and that's what we did for DH's birthday this year! It was great! I guess I'll have to second this one too! :thumbsup2

I love watching cirque on tv......they are so eerie and magestic. And BlueMan just kicks butt all the way around. Ive never been to either show but Id like to someday.

They are & they aren't, depends on who you ask.:lmao: Just about every restaurant that we go to, he's drawing Mickey on the back of the placemats for the boys to color (or goofy, or donald).

He & I met on the Animation Tour in 99. He was an Animation Artist & I was a tour guide. (He did work in Feature for a little bit, but they down-sized his dept & he ended up on the tour).

I could probably arrange that, if it's on the w/e. He's the Art Director for a small art production company now, so he works during the week. Boy, do we miss the CM Discount every now & then!!:lmao:

We are going to be there at the same time and during our stay it will be time for me to start getting the senior discount. Somebody tell my DW that I would LOVE :lovestruc to do the 30 lap driving experience. I been hinting for ten years. We celebrate our 35th Wedding Anniversary in August so this is a belated celebration for that, too. BTW, what's "adult time"? :confused3

Congrats on 35 years!! Adult time is what you have BEFORE children came into play. And then it is what comes around every once in a while after that. I think it might be a "seasonal" visitor!:lmao: Sorry Colson!!:lmao

Oh, I like this idea. We will be checking in to the fort on my DD6 birthday. Maybe we could do this that night while the fireworks are happening. That would be fun. We have been trying to figure out what we wanted to do for the actual day because we didn't want to make ressies anywhere incase we arrived later than we planned. This could work though. We have Chef Mickey's planned for the following night. I think I might do that. Nice idea! Hey, if anyone is around on Oct. 18 and wants some cake, come on down to the beach for the fireworks!!
