What would you like me to buy at Amazon?

So, what can I buy for you at Amazon? I ask because everything (and I seriously mean everything) I have ordered at Amazon this holiday season has gone down in price after I've ordered it. Since they've stopped their price adjustments, I've just had to live with it and, since I've gotten good prices as is, haven't felt too bad about it.

But, if there is something you are dearly wanting at Amazon but are holding out for a good price, please let me know so I can buy it and it will then go down in price for you. :)

(For the humor impaired, this post is a JOKE and I will not seriously be buying stuff at Amazon for all who ask.)

You can buy me a van, a house, and a dog :-p.

Seriously though, I wish I could get some stuff for the neighbors lol. Care to buy something for them? Lol.

This is a fun game ;)

I think i can beat that. Barely.

I was buying a gift for my husband off of his wishlist. The item was $89. I put in in my cart and went back to buy some BRs on his list. When I went to check out, his $89 gift jumped out of my cart and was listed as hold or pending or whatever they call it.

It went up $5 WHILE I WAS SHOPPING! I had to click on the item again to even get it and then it was $94.

Did you try calling Amazon? I had two items go down in price and when I called, they did a price adjustment with no questions asked.

It can't hurt to try; good luck! I had to hunt around the site to find a number to call:

Amazon - Contact Us

I emailed them when the Lionel train I bought DS went down nearly $30 in price 2 days after I bought it. They did refund me the difference but told me it was "one time price adjustment". Later the go cart he had been wanting came back in stock so I bought it super fast before it could go back out of stock. A few days later I went back to see if it was still in stock and it had gone UP over $30 so, for once, I came out on the winning end of that deal. Usually, though, I am like you and everything I buy goes on deep discount once I've bought and paid for it :headache:

I buy a ton of stuff from Amazon, but use 2 websites to track prices. I found both on slickdeals.net. I don't have links for these but if you do a google search I'm sure they will come up. One is called Price Drop and the program is in google chrome. You download it and on the Amazon product page it will have a little bar that asks you if you want to track the price. It only tracks Amazon-sold items, which is fine because that's usually the only seller I buy from (for the free shipping).
The other is Lightingdrops.com, it tracks items by their ASIN number, which is in the product info part of the item listing. Both are super useful and I check before buying. Kinda like the stock market. Good luck!

I was doing a search for a cowboy nutcracker and Star Trek nutcrackers came up @ Amazon.com (I think). I'd freak my family out by asking for them and putting them up on my quilt hanger shelf. ;)

Star Trek nutcracker!! I'm heading to Amazon to check that out!

I bought the Epic Mickey and now the price has gone down! :headache:

I bought DH the Pacific on blu-ray from Amazon a few weeks ago for $56.99, and that was the best price around. Just saw a post that it is now $38.99  I feel your pain!

I actually timed mine right this year. Needed 2 more wii remotes so I figured I would order the ones that came with the game too and had them waiting in my basket when they dropped 10 and 12 each. Also caught some software at an awesome deal that apparently was about a third less than the lightning deal for it a week prior.

I'm still debating on a pair of Oakley's. Maybe just putting them in your cart would be enough to get Amazon to drop the price a few bucks. That would probably be enough to get me to pull the trigger. Thanks for the offer. ;)

Kidding aside, if any of the price drops have been significant I second the advice to call and see if they'll offer a "one time exception" to their no price adjustments policy as a gesture of goodwill though.

I just placed an $84 Amazon order this morning. But I only paid $24 for it because I used 2 different "one time exception" price adjustment credits to make up the other $60. :thumbsup2

OK, I get that technically I did pay the full $84, but that $60 definitely felt like found money to me since it had already been budgeted and spent.

I wonder how large the Amazon price setting staff is? :P
I ask because I had an item in my cart yesterday go up 28 cents. LOL
I figure they must be tracking prices and sales elsewhere very closely if they take the time to raise an item from $8.79 to $9.07.
