I currently have quite a few ADR's booked for our September trip and now I am wondering if I have too many...DFi says we should keep them all but would love to hear your opinion...

We are on the DDP and are over our TS credits and will have to pay OOP for one or two since we have so many Signature ressies..so here is my plan so far..let me know what you would keep, what you wouldn't and why...and if you feel like I should be adding some ressies too let me know :goodvibes

Also all of the dinners have been planned on nights when parks close early so we won't really be eating into too much park time either...

Arrival Day - NO ADR's (arriving at resort around 8:30 pm)

Free day (no parks)- Dinner at California Grill (7:35 hope to catch wishes at 9)

MK Day - Breakfast at CRT (8:05 ressie before park opens), Dinner at Narcoossee's

Epcot Day - Lunch at Le Cellier

Free day (no parks) - NO ADR's

HS day - Dinner at Cape May (hubby's only request for the whole trip:rotfl:)

AK Day - Dinner at Jiko

Fishing excursion/relax day - Dinner at Artist Point

Departure Day - NO ADR's

If it were my trip, I would keep everything you have... Actually we'd probably be adding a few others, Kona for breakfast and Raglan Road for Dinner on the night we arrive (tradition that can't be broken no matter what time we arrive lol).

I think your plans are good, but they are your plans. If you feel you have to much, it is your opinion that matters. If you don't want to pay OOP for any meals and it is going to disappoint you that you do, then I would say drop some.

Wow, that's a tough one since they all sound great!:rolleyes1 I am a master of indecision, so I would keep all of them.:lmao: But since you asked...

I'd say ditch Narcoosees or Artist Point. I was also going to add Jiko into that mix, but I see that you are staying at AKL, so it would be nice to have a great meal and walk back to your room.:thumbsup2

Good luck and enjoy your trip.:goodvibes

Personally I wouldn't do that many signature places. So I would axe Narccoosees and Artist Point.

Since you have a good time set for Cali Grill...keep that one and since you are staying at AKL, I concur with PP that Jiko would be nice.

I would actually add ADR's to the days that you don't have any, cuz sometimes it is hard to find food when your hungry and tired in the park, and don't know where to eat. I would suggest Le Chefs de France, Nine Dragons, Crystal Palace, Ohana.... I could go on and on lol

Whenever anyone asks this question, I always check for a breakfast the morning after a big dinner, but your only "back-to-back" is following a dinner at the CG, where you won't get stuffed.

So if you add a breakfast, I wouldn't do it the morning after your dinner at Cape May. A late breakfast on your first full day might work well - where are you staying?

I also agree with dismichael and line up something for your free days.

On your fishing day, a late breakfast at Trail's End might be a good addition, since I'm guessing your fishing will be on Bay Lake. Depends on the timing of your fishing reservation.

I'll be there in September myself, but it doesn't look like any of our reservations would overlap.

I think everything looks good, but if you don't want to pay oop, you could
change your Jiko to Saana, or Boma and save 1 credit.

Not that I don't like Artist Point, because I like it quite a bit, but if you were to really make that a day of relaxation and drop the ADR in favor of maybe ordering a pizza to your room and chilling out in there that night (maybe hit the hotel bar for a couple drinks, too?), you'd save yourself a couple dining credits. That's all I can really say.

I'd personally drop Cinderella's Royal Table, because it's not really our thing, but it might be worth it for you to get into the park a little early, and it seems like you're really into that idea. It's just that a signature breakfast seems like a waste of points to me.

I think it looks good but if you don't want to go over your dining credits...I'd give up CRT and do Crystal Palace @ 8:05 and i trade Jiko's for Sanaa or Boma's.

CRT quality has diminished over the last 7 years, and if you don't have kids the Princesses coming to your table might feel a little awkward. However, if you have never been in the castle, it is pretty neat and getting into the park early is great for photo ops. Have a great trip!

Thank you so much to everyone for all your opinions - I am surprised at the amount of people who say to drop CRT. I think we're mainly wanting that one for the convenience of being let into the park early. It will be DH's first Disney experience and I think being able to walk down a not-so-crowded Main St. would be great - and their breakfast isnt that horrible either..

We are staying the first night as a room only at AKL and I see that many have suggested Boma - is this something we should maybe try for our arrival night?

The rest of the trip we are staying at the Poly and I see that some have recommended Kona on here - is it really that good? I've visited the Poly a lot over the years (but never stayed there) and have never really looked into it...should we perhaps trade our lunch at Le Cellier for this? Or would that be ridiculous? :rotfl:

I think overall im just worried that we will be spending a lot of time eating but given that most of our ressies are outside of park hours I think we will be safe...just for some reason the Le Cellier ressie doesn't sit right with me on our Epcot day - I just don't want our park days to be too structured and have to be somewhere at a certain time etc.....oh decisions, decisions.... this WDW planning should be a full time job!!

It looks like you have 8 credits with the regular dining plan, right? What is the cost to upgrade to the deluxe dining plan? Then, you could easily burn two credits on a signature meal without worrying and have extra credits for the days with no ADRs. Might want to do a quick cost comparision. And if you are getting the DDP free, it might be worth it to pay the difference and upgrade to deluxe, if you can.

If you stick with the DDP, I would drop Narcoosee's. You have CRT that morning and might want to be more flexible for the rest of the day. Then, I'd pay oop for CRT or Cape May.

If it is your honeymoon, then remember to splurge and enjoy! ;) It only comes around once!
