I don't know what's going on, I don't know any of the players, but I can see where the "sides" fall and it all sounds personal to me ... it sounds like inter board fighting brought to the DIS.

If someone uses foul language that doesn't mean they are unstable or unsuited to be around children. Cheney told someone to **** off or go **** themself or something like that on the floor of the Senate. Bush has used the word ******* amongst others, and they run this country, and in turn, every life in it. Scary thought I know, but still. They don't talk that way around anyone and everyone, they, probably like the person in question, are able to discern when they should and shouldn't use that kind of language. They are adults, they can use foul language if they choose.

Foul language is in the ear of the beholder or in this case the eye of the poster.

And what is a "protected class of people".

I wouldn't do anything unless the person flat out threatened you with physical harm ... then I would go to the police and let the police handle it from there, as in contacting people who need to know what this person is doing. Otherwise everything you've stated, even the "veiled threats" is just speculation and your own preferences of how a person should talk or behave ... it has nothing to do with the children he's around.

Anyway, since this became one of those infamous "pile on" threads, I thought I might as well do the same with my worthless two cents while I'm waiting to hear from a friend.

I found this thread very disturbing...mainly because of many misconceptions.
1. As a 911 dispatcher for 2 police agencies in Northern CA...you can be verbally threatened till the cows come home...no one is going to do anything...I was trained to tell the caller to call back when the person threatening gets there...and to any that think that is heartless...sit in at a dispatch center for 8 hours, see how many threats are followed through...in my experience none.
2. If this teacher harbored these feelings, and let the tiniest shred of them show...students would be running to administration in a second...any teacher that has taught above 6th grade knows this. You'll always have at least one failing student in your class that will twist the most innocuous statement to make you look bad.
3. I am not Ms. Computer...but I can see that this whole IP thing is asking for trouble...at times I've had to let numerous students use my computer for Accelerated Reader tests...I think they're taking a test, I try to give them space...who knows what they're really doing ? They are much more computer savvy than I.

Something definitely sounds shady about this....

In all actuality the OP did not post details about what this person actually did to offend her. For all we know she could be blowing this all out of proportion. I think it is a shame that so many posters are yelling "go get 'em" when they have no idea what his supposed "offense" is.

I find it very disconcerting that someone would gather information on a nameless, faceless person on the internet to "use against" them at a later date. Seems to me that the person who does this is just as guilty of stalking.....

I do not know exactly what has been posted by this person.
I do not know if this alleged person is actually the one at the keyboard.
I do not know if this person is guilty.
But, on a broader note... If there is evidence that somebody who is employed to teach children may possibly be this unbalanced (ie. totally different persona) Then, the very LAST thing I am concerned about is him or his family.

The children would be my main concern here.

I simply give no consideration at all to 'sympathy' for the accused.
Do the crime, do the time...
If this person values their job, their reputation, and their family, then they should not be doing anything like this, openly, on public internet.

The fact that they would choose to put their job, reputation, and family, at risk by doing what they are possibly doing. That says a lot.

I do not believe that the OP is on any kind of witch-hunt or vendetta here. But, you know what. Even if she is. So what. If this person is breaking the code of conduct and the policy on use of school computers. Then, he/she should be held accountable.

Is anyone here actually insinuating that the OP would actually fabricate this stuff? Unless she is, there is no false accusation here.

More or less, it was handed to me on a silver platter. If I had a vendetta, don't you think I would have reported it a year or more ago? The person in question had been low key and I had chaulked several incidents up to either my misunderstanding or bad judgement on their part. Now they are again making statements that make me wonder about their suitablility to teach children.

This is how I can say to report the information....

It is not up to us to know all the facts.
It is not up to the OP to be judge and jury.

The bottom line is, the proper authorities should be notified.
The proper authorities should have all the facts.
Then it is up to THEM to make the final determination.

How can this happen, if nobody ever reports the inappropriate behavior?


I do not see where the OP's personal feelings have anything to do with the guilt or innocence of this teacher.

Unless anyone here is accusing the OP of making false accustions... ie: fabricating her evidence... Then, there is no reason to accuse the OP of any wrongdoing.

What, does the OP have to say that she does not have any negative feelings about this person in order to be concerned... That thought is just ridiculous.

But, I just had a real lightbulb go off here on a somewhat related topic.

I am remembering the thread about the child who saw Oksana, after school hours.... Teachers, and even a few parents, came out of the woodwork defending the schools right to know. They defended the schools right to demand that the student not do anything that could possibly place the school in a bad light. Demanding the the student/parents be accountable, even after school hours....

Well, I'll be darned...

Now, all of the sudden, there are folks here who are stating that the teacher, an employee of the school, while on school time, using school property, has the right to spew profanity and hate.. And, hey, that is Okay!!!

So, the teacher should not be accountable? So, the teacher should not be reported?

Talk about raving hypocrasy.
