I am going to wdw in june and i am staying at bcv for 5 days and want to go and try another resort for the last 2 days.we will not be going into the parks the last 2 days.Where would you stay with dd5 and dd8, keeping in mind we will be spending most of our time at the resort and want plenty to do.

I think you are already there--the BC has lots to do. Stormalong Bay is fun for kids and they could easily spend the day just playing at the pool and enjoying the slide. Plus, there is mini golf nearby at Fantasia Gardens. You could also spend time renting watermouse boats at the marina. The arcade is a good size and it adjoins Beaches and Cream if you want to combine it with a fun lunch at a 50's style soda shop.

The Polynesian and Grand Floridian also have nice themed pools but I think Stormalong Bay would be even more fun for them. The Luna Park pool at the BWV is also lots of fun but you are already staying at the BCV and it wouldn't be worth the move just to try out Luna Park.

Good luck with your decision! :)

For two days..just relaxing and enjoying a resort...there is no place better than AKL

WL would be nice. They have free activities for kids, and they have free arts and crafts at the cubs den. WL is also a great place to relax.

You probably can't go wrong with any Disney resort you choose. :D

We stayed there the first three nights of our trip and I wished it was tacked on the end instead. We had so much fun there that going to the parks seemed to get in the way. Our last three nights were ticketless and we were at BWV it was ok but we ended up buying tickets for two nights to get into MGM and Epcot (the temptation was too great). We would not have done that at AKL.

If you really want to move... then I would say AKL. Lots to do for kids and so much to explore. Great for all ages!! :D

Ditto for AKL. DD4 and I spent 3 days there without going to the parks and had a great time.

I'm for AKL as well! We had a hard time leaving to go to the parks. It is so relaxing and there are plenty of activities for both you and the kids to do.

I vote for the Poly. Lots to do for kids at the Great ceremonial House. Get on the monorail and explore the GF and the CR. Great beach, great pool. do the luau. Take evening strolls...nice...very nice

Hadn't even read the other responses and I knew my answer would be AKL. When we stayed there we booked extra days just to enjoy all the hotel has to offer. Wonderful hotel experience - and has plenty to do inside and out - should the weather turn on you :D

Another vote for AKL, you could make a vacation there as there is soo much to do there. It's just a great place to relax.

We just got back and want to go again. (and we own a vacation house about 45 minutes from disney)
