Would you pay for extra day at park(AK) even though you can only go for a few hours (and it's Saturday) or scrap it and hang out at DTD or something? Im not sure what to do, save the $$ or take the kids to AK (we were there last year and plan on coming back)
Are there things to do at DTD for 4 and 6 yr old?
We're stayng at Pop Century.

Thank-you for advice..Daisy:sunny:

hmmm...if you are looking to save money - I'd do DTD. I believe there a playground near the McDonald's and Lego statues...otherwise, it's just shopping I think.

Or - why not hop over to the Animal Kingdom Lodge? There are plenty of animal viewing areas there that the kids could be entertained with!

Or - miniature golf? (hmmm...are they too young for this?

either of those options would be cheaper than buying a full day pass.

There also is Disney Quest in Downtown Disney. I'm sure that both children would find something they both loved. There is plenty to do and they can run around and let out some "steam".

We resort hop. We just went "hopping" at the Animal Kingdom Lodge last week. At the Epcot resort area there are Surrey bikes and watermice to rent.

:D

It would depend on the total amount of days you are staying. If I had only 4 or 5 days, yes, I would pay the extra day and go to AK. If you know for sure that you will be back in a year or so, maybe going to DTD isn't such a bad idea. Even then, I'd still go to AK, though.

When my kids were that young, they would not have enjoyed DTD enough to cap off our trip. You may want to try a character breakfast (Chef Mickey's is a nice one) or go minuature golfing (WinterSummerland is nicely themed). AK is a nice idea, but you wouldn't have much time to enjoy it. Don't forget that a double stroller is a good idea. (You can rent them at the parks.) Have fun.

I would spend the time left at DTD. There is plenty to do and if you haven't there I know you will enjoy it.:hyper:

You could also go over to FT Wildnerness. I've never stayed there, but we took the boat over from MK one afternoon just to escape the crowd. We had a nice lunch at the Trail's End buffet. I think there is a petting zoo, trails, etc.

Visiting AKL is another great idea. We saw many animals close-up while tooling around there.

You could go to the Boardwalk and eat lunch at Beaches and Cream and rent a surrey bike.

if you plan on returning within a year, why not turn your tickets into annual passes...then you can visit AK, and your park entries will be already paid for for next time, just a thought
