Our teachers are on strike. We've missed 3 days already, and no new talks are even scheduled until next Tuesday, so that's 5 days for sure that we will have to make up. My concern is that they may take away spring break to make them up. We've got tickets and reservations made at WDW for that time.

I really didn't want to pull my 3 dds out of school, hence the spring break trip, but I can't change or cancel this trip without it costing me a minimum of $500 to change the airline tickets. Plus we're scheduled to arrive on my twin dds 10th birthday.

Part of me says I really shouldn't pull them out, but the majority of me says to heck with them. They have put me out already with the strike, and why should I have an additional expense due to their issues. Plus it would be a major dissapointment to my girls not to celebrate their b-day at WDW.

I would keep my plans!! I know teachers have valid issue that they want heard but your family made plans based on the school year. Many people take their kids out of school for vaction and I'm sure if your school "cancels" spring break there will be many kids not showing up regardless! Usually they add days on the end of the school year but if you do end up missing days just plan for study time in the evening at the hotel and maybe do a school extra credit project based on something at EPCOT
