Our only air fare choices for a non Disney vacation this summer - Frontier $233 or SWA $706? This difference is crazy but I’m scared to try frontier

How long is the flight? How many people are traveling? What other "extra" fees would you need to pay on Frontier? What about other airlines? Other, nearby airports? Other flight times?

A short (1-2 hours) flight? I'd be willing to try Frontier.
3-4 people travelling? I'd be willing to try Frontier.
Need to add $200-300 in added costs to Frontier? I'd be leaning toward SW.

With no other info, I'd go Frontier. Not my fav, but can't turn down THAT kind of savings. Why such a difference??

Flew Frontier once and never again. I'd pay the extra for Southwest. Also, by the time I paid for all of Frontier's "extras" it really wasn't all that much less expensive than the Southwest flight.

We fly Frontier all of the time and have never had a problem (knock on wood, as we're using them three times this summer...). I love saving money on flights! But as PP said, definitely price out everything on Frontier - seat assignments & luggage (including carry ons). One thing I like about paying separately for luggage is that we often don't each need one or two 50lb suitcases - we can do with 2 for the whole family.
