OK so this woman i know is taking a trip with her two children (13,12) and told me that she bought tickets from an outside vendor and bought an adult ticket for herself and child tickets for the kids. She said it saved her money and she can link them and they will never know....wont they know?? I know with my DVC my kids ages are listed on my reservation, when she tries to link the tickets will it even let her???? I guess i would rather spend the extra money to know that i wasn't going to have any issues....

I would let her know that they kids may get questioned at the gate. It is probably obvious they are not 9, so there is a good chance she will have to pay to upgrade the tickets.

I would just leave it as her problem. She obviously knows she's doing something wrong. Worst case, she gets stopped and argues with the CM, then they make her pay the difference in ticket prices. Don't waste your time trying to talk her out of it.

I'm not sure what you're asking.

If you're asking if I would do what the other woman is doing, the answer is no.

If you're asking what I would do if I were you, the answer is that I would mind my own business.

It is a good question though--if her friend already has her kids in MDE will it let her link tickets to them that do not match their ages?

I wouldn't say anything.

I had a similar situation a few years ago with a friend offering me her unused tix. I had the hardest time explaining why it just was wrong without making it really awkward.

Actually, there is nothing wrong with that. Unused tickets are completely transferable.

She's aware that she's doing something she shouldn't and she didn't ask for advice. There's nothing you can say that won't make you sound like a know-it-all busybody.

I would not get involved. How is this your business?

If she didn't ask you if it would work, and it doesn't sound like she did, this something she will have to find out for herself.

This is a situation where you just keep quiet and smile and nod when she comes back from vacation complaining about the mean CM'S who embarrassed her and made her look like a criminal in front of her kids and the whole park. And she - ll never go to WDW again. And universal will get all her money Yada y Ada yada
