we didn't have any plans on visiting WDW this fall and now we are thinking about it however we would have to travel the weekend of Nov 5-9, Nov 4-9 or Nov 6-10.

I know, I know, it is a popular weekend and normally we would plan way in advance. I see that I can get SSR except for Nov 7 and 8. Should we book the nights we can get and waitlist the others? For example should we book Nov 4, 5, 6 and waitlist 7 and 8, do a back up reservation at a regular hotel just in case? Nothing is available at any DVC property for all the nights. We do not care if we are in a studio, one bedroom or two bedroom. At this point we would take anything

the other option with a room discount (would rather use points at DVC) there is availability at the Cabins

what would you do?

I'd book what I can get at SSR and waitlist the nights I couldn't. I'd make a back up reservation at one of the values or mods that could be cancelled.

Then I'd use the new Resort Availability Tool to check availability fairly frequently - several times a day if I could manage it. I'd jump on anything that worked.
