What would you do?

I'm going to cancel one of these ADRs for our trip in a couple of weeks.

We have a 9:15 p.m. at Chef Mickey's on the Thurs night before we leave Friday and that Friday morning at 9:30 a.m. at Tusker House.

So would you do the dinner at Chef Mickey's or the Breakfast at Tusker House the next morning? We won't be able to get in a full day at AK if we go to Tusker House, it would be breakfast and a couple of rides because we fly out that afternoon(we are doing AK on another day too).

I worry that Chef Mickey's is a really late reservation for the kids, but I'm sure they'll be okay in the end, we could nap that day...so I'm conflicted!!

To be honest I would do the dinner.
Yes it is late, but as long as your kids can handle it should be fine. (how old are they?)

The reason that I would do dinner is 2 fold. One, I like dinners more than breakfasts. Two, if you are going to a park on departure day then I wouldn't waste time at a big meal.

How old are your kids?

I'd likely go with Tusker House. Good food, good charater interaction and a few last rides at AK would be a great end to the trip.

For us, eating at 9:30-10 is too late. Regardless of naps, snacks, etc. it's just not enjoyable for anyone! My kids can stay up that late out doing and seeing things. But sitting in a restaurant eating that late wouldn't work. I'd rather spend the last night enjoying fireworks/parades somewhere.

eta: Is it possible to do Tusker House any earlier?

It's tough to say because it has so much to do with personal preference. For us, I think we'd go with Tusker House. 9:15 would just be too late for our kids, and us too! And like a pp said, we like to see fireworks on our last night. Also, AK isn't a "big" park for us, so we'd be fine with only doing a few rides, frankly, Tusker House would be our highlight!

I would go for Tusker House. I wouldn't like eating that late and would rather do fireworks or parade as well. Besides, Tusker House breakfast is my favorite. Great character interaction and I do enjoy the food and guava juice is great! Keep trying, maybe you can get an early time! Have a magical vacation.

Thanks for the responses! I was leaning towards Tusker House, we've been to Chef Mickey's (for breakfast, but still), but never the TH. Also, I had a special affection for Donald. I just don't want to be rushed on our last day there, but I'm sure we'll have a great breakfast and maybe get on one great ride...not a bad way to end the trip!!

My kids are 3 and 9 btw!!
