What would you do?

I am planning a trip for May 2012! We will be staying at our home resort ALK in a 2br Standard and a studio Standard for 7 nights there are 12 of us 6adults and 6 kids). I would like to add on an 8th night but I am 29 points short. I have banked and borrowed and thats the bottom line ...I need 29 points.
I have looked into buying another 25pt contact and that would cost me $3000. Not really an amount I would like to spend at the moment! I can't rent the points from DVC because the cap is 25. I could see if I could find a points transfer but from looking at the rent/trade board those don't appear to have anyone responding to people looking for transfers. The only option that seems somewhat viable would be to rent points for that night, but would I be able to stay in the same room? Don't really want to check/in/out since the reason for adding the extra night was so that we could start our vacation relaxed. Okay so thanks for reading this...what are your thoughts?

If you get another member to make the reservation, you can ask them to have it linked to yours and you should not have to change rooms.

But, you would need to then rent the # of points for whole nights.

I think people are willing to transfer. I know I would rather transfer than rent.
I just think the activity of the R/T board has dropped so much, it may seem like no one wants to.

Couldnt you just go through disney and just get a night seperate from your current reservation and Im sure they would keep you in the same room.
