I have an adr for Chef Mickey's for breakfast one day of our 2 week trip...but was considering using my TS credits instead for Cape May Cafe dinner...we are going to many other character meals so it's not like we will be missing out on that...it's just that I have heard so many bad things about Chef Mickey's and so many good things about the clambake...this adr would be on a nonpark day...we plan on touring the resorts that day. So...should I change it or not..I'm so confused what to do...there is an opening for 5pm at Cape May Cafe and I'm torn?? :confused3 We have never been to either restaurant before...so I don't know if Chef Mickey's is a must do??

We have dined at both and while Chef Mickeys breakfast is awesome Cape May Clambake is a million times better!

And if it helps I have a ton of pictures of the clambake in my Nov 2010 thread

There is no place like WDW where a train runs through a building...and Chef Mickey's may be fun...but the seafood buffet at Cape May's is a great time for families too.
On your visit to resorts, just complete the afternoon around the lake...(EPCOT) resorts. Lots to see, boat ride between each resort, and enjoy the great service at Cape Mays.
*if you are not a seafood fan, then Cape May's is not a good choice, however, all else being equal- the overall dining experience is better, in my opinion at the Cape (after dinner walk down the boulevard to the back gate of EPCOT, kids always are fascinated to see the parks from a different perspective + then boat ride back to any of the hotels... in the area.
:banana::santa:

Chef Mickey's for dinner is "eh" but the breakfast is definitely a must do at least once...the mickey waffles, pancakes, french toast are crazy good and the classic disney characters all make an appearance...We tried the Cape May Cafe and weren't impressed, but many others do enjoy it.. I might suggest 1900 park fare for breakfast, it has the most options (including omelet station) by far, and is veryyy tasty, not to mention about $10 cheaper than CM

Ok....so now I'm not sure still...LOL...we are doing Ohana's breakfast and Tusker House breakfast while there...do they have the same kinds of food as Chef Mickey's ? Ugh...still confused...

Did Chef Mickey's for dinner and found it awful besides the deserts. If it where me i would go with Cape May.

The food at CM was the worst of any of the restaurants we went too. So if you don't care about the characters I would skip it. We also did the clambake on our last time. It was pretty good but we were disappointed by the crab legs they were very small and not fresh. The meat all stuck to the inside of the shell. :mad: But everything else was good and desserts were great.

But,

That being said, I booked CM breakfast again for our January trip but not the Clambake :confused3 But we are doing the DxDDP for 11 nights at CR. It seemed strange to be so close but not go to CM:rolleyes1
