Happy Birthday! Wish you were here....in the sun and the 70 degree weather!

Better yet I wish we were in WDW!

Thank you honey...I do too considering it is about 10 degrees here and less with the windchill (and now I have to worrya bout my son who is driving through snow showers back to school).

I wish we were at Disney too--all four of us--we'd have a "special" birthday dinner at Fulton's. :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Kathy!!!!

Thank you, Christine. I appreciate the wishes.

Good morning Kathy. I made my Starbucks stop this morning on the way to work so I think I can handle it till noon. I'm going to get Austin and we are going to lunch today. I think I'll use my gc to Red Lobster. Don doesn't like it anyway and Austin and I do. Have a good day and I'll see if I can't stay out of trouble on this last day of 2009. It will be hard. Did you do Steak N Shake? We had leftovers.

Good morning, Ginny. I had my Starbucks on the train this morning and am going out for my second one shortly (told you I was addicted). We just got word we are closing at noon today. :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: Have some of those yummy garlic rolls for me. :)

Yes, we went to Steak and Shake and Mark and I shared a chocolate shake; we then went to the Jewel and got some food for the weekend and then we watched Marley & Me. I don't know why I torture myself that way. I LOVE the movie, but I am absolutely hysterical by the end of it and, of course, last night Cookie decided it was my lap she wanted to sit on all night. :sad2:

We've decided on the 1:00 showing of It's Complicated tomorrow and then dinner at PF Changs at 3:30. We are spending the rest of the long weekend cleaning the house and taking down all the Christmas stuff.

Any special plans for you over the weekend?

Oh! Happy (belated) Birthday, Kathy!

Thank you for your "fair and balanced" reviews, and your awesome Disney-like attitude! You're very appreciated on these boards!! :grouphug:

I hope to get my Christmas stuff down this afternoon. I meant to do it yesterday but once again. Procrastination over took my body. I just talked to my girls. They are having fun together in Tennessee without their mom. (how dare they). Sheri said Sandi ran to the Starbucks early and brought them all a morning treat and yes gave Mike his in bed. Sandi's hubby Tim had already gone to work. They were headed to Bed Bath & Beyond so she could get more stuff for her Keurig coffee pot I got her for Christmas.

I know we planned to have the rest of the left overs for dinner tonite then they all go in the trash. I might pick up a movie at the redbox. We watched Julie/Julia last night. It was cute but I want to see 4 Christmases.

Don making a New Year's Eve plan is like watching a wart grow. Just doesn't happen. We are coming up to work one day over the weekend so I can clean out some boxes and take to the basement. And I bought work groceries yesterday and he can drag those up for me. Sheri says they will be home Saturday night so I'm sure Sunday we'll be back to our usual dinner, but it will be weight watcher ones. I have tons of recipes thank goodness. I will motivate, I will motivate, I will motivate. How many times must I say it for it to sink in?

Would you believe I've never see Marley and Me? I'm not crazy over Jennifer Anniston and I've just not gotten around to watching it. I want to tho. I love shows about doggies.

I will be so out of her by 12:01. Have a great afternoon.

Mark and I never go to the movies -- the prices are ridiculous. But I had read the book, Marley & Me, so had to see the movie (I'm different from you...I like Jennifer Anniston in her movies). Anyway, saw it on New Year's Day this year and then went back two days later with Andy's then girlfriend because he wouldn't take her because he knew it was a tearjerker movie. I hadn't told her I'd already seen it and before the movie started, I gave her a package of kleenix and said "you'll need this." It is a really sweet movie and you should rent it....but have your kleenix handy. :sad2:

My girls have seen it, my friends have seen it. I have just been lacking. I have a gift card to the movie theater so I'm sure Don and I will go or I'll give it to Austin and Mazzie to use. Now that we are old it is only $7 to get in. We also have a cheap theater that is $3. It shows the movies that just came out of the big theaters. They have cheap snacks too. They do need new seats in some of the rooms tho.

I have so far managed to make January calendars and take 3 phone calls. It's too darn busy for me.

I've managed going to Starbucks for my coffee, wishing several friends on the DIS a Happy New Year and checked payroll for my check amount. I have three bills I have to pay online and then I'm out of here! :)

Hope you are having a lazy day like me. Still in PJ's and sittin. I will go clean up in a bit. Don and I have no plans for today. Tomorrow we'll get back on some sort of schedule. Enjoy being off work.

Hi, Ginny. I was up at 8:30, took a shower and took all the ornaments off the Christmas tree while doing laundry (I took all of the other decorations down and put them away last night after we went to Red Lobster). Mark and I then went to the movies and saw "It's Complicated" with Meryl Streep, Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin. It was cute and funny--Balwin was very funny in the movie. Then we went to PF Changs for dinner. I'm now catching up on the DIS after I put my living room back together and lit my candles.

I just watched a "video" picture show of CSR that someone posted hwo had been there last month.

Did you get your computer back? We are watching the Rose Bowl right now. Austin came for dinner and he is getting ready to go to his girlfriend's house to watch movies. Don and I rented Angels and Demons to watch. I've seen it but Don hasn't.

Don got all the Christmas stuff in the attic and I finally took a shower and went to the grocery store. I fixed the man meal tonite for Aust and Don. Chicken gizzards and fried mushrooms. They were in heaven. I did put clean pj's on (actually leisure wear after the shower and store visit)

I am going to have to go see that movie for sure. Your meals have been much better than mine the past 2 days. Aust and I did go to Chilli's for lunch yesterday. I had a chicken sandwich with avocado. Yummy.

I'm sleeping in tomorrow and then we will go to breakfast before heading to the office to get things situated.

Have a good evening.

Ginny

No, I still don't have my computer; I'm still using Andy's laptop when it is available. Yes, we've had two good meals the last two days. But we've about given up on Red Lobster...their prices have gotten outrageous and the food is not as good as it used to be.

I hope to sleep in the rest of the weekend and then do some major cleaning. I talked to Markie a short time ago. He broke his finger while he was home unbeknown to me and he went to the emergency room in Dubuque. Somehow he got an infection in it and they hve him on a heavy antibotic; if he didn't he could lose his finger. He can't cut weight like he wanted to because he has to drink lots of water with the antibiotic. He's not a happy camper at the moment.

Poor Markie. I'm sure he is hating the antibiotic situation and the weight. That is so hard on those boys. I so know about kids and broken body parts and not telling mom's and dad's. Aust broke his sphenoid bone in the right thumb his first football game in 8th grade. Told no one. After the end of 9th grade football he finally started saying that it hurt. 8 months in a cast. Needed surgery but said he didn't want it. Had to quit baseball cause he can't grip the smaller ball.

Austin's friend Joel (wrestles at 215) is undefeated this year. He knows it is his last chance to get 1st at state. he's been everyother number but 1st.

Now that the Ducks lost we will watch the Fla game. It's is football night in America for us. Still waiting till Thursday. You know we have to root for Texas. I don't tell everyone. I know there are lots of Alabama fans. Dana and I have a rivalry going. :rotfl:

Good morning Kathy. Hope everything is good with you. We now have 5 inches of snow and another 5 to come on Wednesday. Our high later in the week is to be single digits. I think we have moved to Alaska. I know I can see Russia from my porch. At least I thought that was an iceberg floating by.

I hope you have a wonderful day. At least we are all here working this morning and that is a good thing.

Ginny

Good morning Kathy,

I'm sorry I didn't get around to telling you and Mark happy new year. I was able to post on Ginny's report and fully intended to post on all my other friends' reports. But, then, something came up and I didn't get finished posting. Now that I am back at work, I'm catching up with everybody. Just don't tell the boss I said that.

It's snowing just a little bit here today. They originally said we'd have sunshine today with temperature reaching 42. I woke up to dark skies and a wind chill of 27. I know that's nothing like you are used to but for us Louisiana residents that's doggone cold.

Poor Markie. I can't believe the luck he is having lately. Totally sucks!

I hope that work isn't too busy today after a long holiday.

Hello! Kathy
sorry to hear about Markie...good thing he didn't just keep putting it off and went to the ER sounds like it had gotten pretty serious.

Hope you have a great day!
Connie:wave:

Kathy, thank goodness Markie went to the ER and has the antibiotic - kids often just don't realize when an injury needs to be seen asap. Hope he is doing much better.

Ok we've wandered off into chit-chat and this is no longer anything about the original posting.

So I'm gonna close this one here. Just FYI, Chit chat threads are best kept going on the Community Board.

Thanks,

Knox
