The pictures are fantastic! I am starting this weekend too, the girls are helping me out but the little one wants to keep most of my Disney decor as toys!

I have been following this thread closely, to see where you'd end up... I live vicariously through the DIS!

I am so glad to see that two of the most dedicated DIS members (by dedicated... I mean to food... :lmao:) are going to share a trip!

I will be looking forward to your report almost as much as looking forward to my own trip! Have fun, that was a GREAT decision, and I am very much looking forward to seeing how much trouble you guys get into... and out of... :rotfl:

Nicki and I in trouble? Us...the perfect little angels? The only thing I'm afraid of is that they will kick us out of the restaurants that are buffets for taking pictures and not letting people eat. :rotfl2:

Try for the 20,30 40% offf pincode (30%off moderates, 40% off deluxes for many dates in 2010). Go to the WDW website-log in (or register), then price out vacations(package or room only), and save them..I already got 2 codes emailed to me from Disney Destinations!!!

A short trip to see the holiday decorations will be wonderful....add to that spending time with a couple of your favorite folks - perfection!

I am so sorry for the all the crummy stuff going on, but happy you will have a trip to look forward to next year.

Love all your Disney things. Good for you for getting your Christmas things out. At least you were productive. Way more than me. We are still in Tennessee. Had a fun evening. Shopping and eating at Pei Wei. Bought both the girls Kuerig coffee makers for Christmas. Got Autin 2 pair of jeans and a belt. And me a new camera. We'll see if I do any better.

Have a good day tomorrow.

Ginny

Thanks, Ginny. Hope you had a great time in TN.

Wow! Your Disney Christmas theme is wonderful!!! I wish we could get all that stuff here!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE all your decorations!! That really is something to get you into the spirit! Well done, Kathy!!

Maybe I should get to work and do some decorating myself too! ;)

I got a lot of it at Disney (either through the internet or when we were there) and the rest at KMart.

The pictures are fantastic! I am starting this weekend too, the girls are helping me out but the little one wants to keep most of my Disney decor as toys!

So, did you get any decorating done?

Stay the 5 nights at AKL and then go to Marco Island. You won't regret it.

Thanks to both of you. Unfortuantely, due to circumstances with a lot of things going wrong with cars, dryer, crowns at the dentist, we won't be making our long trip next year. We are hoping to go for four days in November with our good friends, Nicki & Todd here from the DIS. We are keeping our eye out for "codes" before we decide where we will stay--knowing us, we'll do CSR for that trip. :)

Well, Mark finally saw the specialist this morning. I am taking him in Friday for 7, yes I said 7 shots. The protruding disc is hitting a nerve and that is why there is so much pain (this is all being caused by spurs). They want to try to avoid surgery if at all possible; they feel that the 7 shots will help ease the pain quickly and effectively and that the swelling will go down; he is to continue therapy/exercise at the chiropractor's office and then come back in six weeks to test his motion, etc. If he is still in a great deal of pain before then he will go back sooner. God, I hope this works because the bags under my eyes are getting worse day by day.

And, to start off this wonderful day, I took my boss to the emergency room in a cab five minutes after he arrived at the office. He had been in DC last week for the State Dinner at the White House. The day he was supposed to fly home he was feeling dizzy and the doctor told him not to fly; he flew home on Thanksgiving and was feeling about 85% throughout the weekend. He cam in today and no sooner got here and felt extremely dizzy and lightheaded; we called his doctor and he said to get him to the ER right away. I stayed with him until his wife got there; she called a little while ago and they are keeping him overnight at least until they figure out what is causing it. They have, thankfully, ruled out his heart (he's 83 years old and like my second dad!).

Good for Mark seeing the specialist. The shots work and the good thing is you know pretty quick. After he has them he should feel somewhat better. Then he should progressivly feel better each day. Just will depend on how the numbness in his hand and arm are doing.

Your poor dear boss. That is so scary. That is what my Mom (85) has done and they finally have cut her blood pressure meds down and she is way better. It took them 3 years to get it right.

Thoughts and prayers to you all.

Ginny

But yeah, that is something we would do :rotfl:

My old boss had a series of shots like you are saying Mark is going to have. They really helped him a lot and he was able to avoid surgery.

What is it that beauty pageant contestants put under their eyes to avoid bags? I'm thinking it was Preparation H. Maybe you need to ask Santa for some.

I hope that the doctors can figure out what's going on with your boss.

Please keep us updated when you can. You are in my prayers as always.

Kathy, I really hope and pray that those 7 shots help! 7 shots sounds SO scary, but if they help than it is worth it!

And your boss conditions sounds scary too! I hope they find out soon what is causing all of this.
:grouphug: for all of you!

Hey! Kathy
sorry to hear about your Boss; hope they figure it out and he is back to normal soon.

Great to hear that Mark finally knows the detail and can start to address the problem...I wonder what the are shooting him up with?!? that they are doing seven at once?!?
I hope it helps with his pain...Mom gets the epidural steroid injections and they help almost instantly (or at least within a day)

Thanks, Ginny. They've ruled out anything serious with the boss -- no heart problem, no pneumonia; they think it is viral but because he is 83 and had health issues in the past they are keeping him in the hospital in a private room at least over night.

I hope the shots help too.

Perfect Angels? US?? Woman, have you gone mad?!?!?!?!?!

No, I've not gone mad. Well, then again, maybe I have with all that has been going on. Pretty soon they will commit me to a loony bin.

I'll keep that in mind abouat the Preparation H from Santa. The only other thing I might get this year is coal. :rotfl:

See above response to Ginny re boss.

Thanks, Karin. I may need that "bottle" we talked about in the other thread soon.

I believe Mark said it was an epidural steroid injection...but seven of them at once. We got cut off because my boss's wife called from the hospital while I was on the phone with Mark and then he had to get to a meeting. I'll get more info out of Mark when he picks me up at the train for us to go get our hair cut.

And just so you guys know--you are ALL the best! Thanks for the hugs, prayers and support.

Kathy-I'm glad they have a course of action for Mark. I would hope with-in a day he will be feeling some relief from the shots and you can get a good night's sleep. Depending on how big those needles are he might be a little sore from the actual shots. But it will be worth it in the end. Hopefully this is a start for him on his road to recovery.:wizard:

Hope your day is going well. I know Friday can't get here soon enough for Mark. And you, I know sleep would be good for you. Im sure it is wearing on you more than you expected.

Have a great day.

Ginny

Kathy, just remind Mark, 7 dwarfs, 7 shots . . . maybe you should name them??

Love your Christmas decorations! Maybe I'll take a picture of my Mickey Menorah all lit up this year and post it!

Thanks, Ginny. Day is going okay so far. Waiting to hear from the hospital whether my boss is being released tday or not; Mark slept a little better last night...maybe it is because he knows something is finally going to be done.

Thanks, Tim. I hope it is the start of recovery. We won't even let him look at the needles. We are told he'll be "under" when they do the seven shots.

Now this is too darn funny. I laughed so hard that I snorted. I tried to call Mark and ask him what we should name them. He didn't answer so I left him a message. He probably thinks I'm nuts. No, actually, he knows that I am nuts. :lmao::lmao:

That is a hoot. Wish I'd thought of it.

Good thing they go in the back of his head.

Don't ya have to be a llittle nuts after you have been thru so much this past 2 months. I would be more than a little. Probably certifiable at this point.
