I'm just looking for input. I kinda know my answer already but I just want to hear different views.
My mom who lives in Ft. Lauderdale is going to Disney World with her husband Dec 5 & 6. I talked to her and she said she has some extra tickets and that I could go too. Only problem is, I can only take one of my kids. She is only going there to walk around and look at the place all decorated for Christmas. I would be doing that too. I want to take my 3 year old because he is a Disney nutt just like his mom. He sees a church steeple while driving down the road and yells "Look!! Dinney Woold!!" he adores Mickey Mouse, the list continues.
So, I ran the idea past my hubby. He laughs and says "Right, let's see you tell the boys that you are going to Disney World without them." We both laughed at the idea.
I came and told my oldest son what I was thinking about doing in December and very calming, without skipping a beat he replies, "Not without me you're not." I was bent over laughing because especially from him, I was not expecting that.
I then went to my middle son, told him the same idea, "He teared up and said, "Noway!" His main thing is he wants to see his grandma. Plus he wants to see Disney at Christmas time too.
Hubby is trying to convince him to let me go.
My oldest son finally came up to me, gave me a hug and said, "It's ok Mom. You can go without me." Awwwww.
The trip would be great. Me and my mom love Christmas and Disney and being able to just have those quiet moments with her alone would be great.
But I don't think I can go to Disney and leave my Disney loving boys back here. And we can't afford a trip this year so I can't bring them with me.
My mom would be paying for a room (offsite) and the tickets she already has. Not much money out of pocket for just myself and my 3 year old. I'd only have to pay for food. Knowing my mom, she'd pay for most of that no matter how hard I would fight her not to do so.
I'm back and forth.
On my right hand, I want to go SO bad.
On my left hand, there is noway I can go without my older boys.
Oh, also my dad works for the airlines so I fly for free. It's just on standby which sometimes suck. But Dec 5 & 6 is not a holiday weekend and it is a week after Thanksgiving so not many people would be flying back from their holiday vacations. No problem getting a seat or 2.
Ok help. Give me some input. In my heart I know I am not going, but in my brain my gears are still working out a way to do it LOL
