What would you do?

Currently have Pop booked but can not apply the general code to any value resort during my time frame. I can upgrade to POR for an additional $100. We were so set on visiting a value. My son is 7 and I think he would really enjoy the theming but for $100 more we can get a moderate - POR.

I know you had your heart set on a value, but go for the mod. You will not regret it, and that's an awesome deal!

Yes. Currently I have Pop booked for $2,091 plus $86 for Disney Quest would bring the total to $2,177. No discounts are available at the values. So I could book POR with Waterparks and more and pay $2,315 and not have to purchase Disney Quest tickets. So I guess it would be an additional $138.

I would pay the $100 and go for it! You can never go wrong by heading into the next catagory of resort. The pools are great in the mods as is the theming. I don't think anyone will be disappointed if you make this choice!

I would definitely upgrade for $100. Your 7 year old will love it. The pool has a slide, the room is bigger, the boat to DTD is nice, great show at the Riverside Roost with Bob, and you can go fishing at POR!

I would go for the moderate too because that extra $$ gives you a coffee pot and frig. Plus a sit down restraurant and food court. I was offered a value for $81 a night or a mod for $99 a night for the new AP code and took the mod.

I'll join the rest - UPGRADE! POR is a really beautiful resort, and since you're planning on time at DisneyQuest, having the boat to DTD will be great. The pool at POR is fun, but if you happen to get a nice chunk of swimming weather, be sure to check out the pool at POFQ too. DS was 7 when we stayed at POR, and he *loved* the dragon slide at the POFQ pool.

Update: I called this morning for a 3rd time and this time Pop was available. So with my discount for Pop the total is $1,842 so to upgrade it's now $473. We wanted this trip to be a budget trip so I think we'll probably stay with Pop. I can do a lot of shopping.....I mean saving with $473.

For the $100 I would have gone to POR but for over $400 I would stay at POP and leave it a value trip.

I would stay at Pop while your son is still young and wants to see all the big icons!! We have stayed at Pop, deluxes and moderates and have enjoyed them all. Now that my daughter is older, she enjoys differernt things. You can always stay at a moderate or deluxe in the years to come.

I would spend the £100 on a pirate cruise or other treats for your son. To me Disney values or deluxes. The mods just don't have that feeling for us.
