What would you do???

My DH's cousin has invited us to her friends and family grand opening to her new gift shop. I've never been to something like this. All I know is that it's after hours and she said that there would be wine and finger foods. Here are my questions: Should I bring a gift (i.e. plant or an engraved key chain for the store keys)? Should we dress business casual? jeans? They are somewhat casual people. Your opinions would be appreciated. Thanks

Hmmm...I'd probably go dressy casual, to cover most bases.
