What would you do with $400 night?

Coming in early November for 6 nights with 2 small children(3 and 6) and gramma and grampa. We have $2500 available for lodging (tax incl). Necessities include 2 separate sleeping areas, fun zero entry pool, and we would prefer not to be isolated (OKW), even though we will have a van. BCV would be ideal, but two adjoining rooms at BC would work also. Any suggestions?

You probablly didn't want to stay off site but the HIFS has a zero entry pool and even with you and dh checking in to one room and the grandparents having their own rooms/suites it would be way less then $400 a night.( it would be about $260 a night for both rooms) IT doen't have to be a Family suite for the grandparents , they have a sweetheart suite too:o . If you did this you would have enough left over to rent a full size car to drive to WDW if you didn't want to rely on the HIFS bus.

I can understand wanting a zero-entry pool for reasons other than children. Perhaps one of the adults has a disability so a zero-entry pool would make swimming more comfortable for them.

Thanks, everyone!

Well, it looks like now we will have to wait til November 2004 for our first Disney trip. However, that does give me plenty of time to investigate to find a great deal. Anyone know what the lowest code rate they have seen for BC in November (under 200? ) and when would it be available? Renting points for BCV looks like the best deal for a 2br, but I am hesitant about the whole process. Any feedback or suggestions about renting?

Also, zero entry is not mandatory but preferred. I think I have narrowed down location to the Epcot resorts because of all the attractions and dining options. Even though we will have a vehicle, we plan on eating dinner at Epcot a couple of times and it seems like walking home through the intl gateway (15 min?) would be so much better than schlepping back to the parking lot each time.

I have never stayed on site so I rely on all of you vets to share your experiences; the info here is incredibly helpful. How did everyone manage before the internet?

In summary, I am thinking that unless I bite the bullet and rent the points for BCV, I will probably have to settle for two rooms at Swan/Dolphin (govt emp) unless I get lucky and find a great code for two rooms at BC. If I am way off base or leaving out some options let me know. Thanks again.
