If you have some beer drinkers in the group, Ballast Point Brewing is in DTD, and they have a really nice upstairs patio that overlooks it. They also serve food and non-alcoholic things for others in your group. It is nice in the early evening when it cools off.

For Ballast point, you don't typically need reservations, right? If we want to sit in the upstairs outdoor area, is that usually a long wait? We are doing something similar to OP on our arrival day and I keep hearing great things about the beer here!

Per their website, that location doesn’t take reservations other than for parties of 12 or greater. We have not had a problem walking up and getting a table upstairs on the patio, but others may chime in with more experience! It is a fun place, and my husband loves to have a flight and try it all!
