DS14 & I are flying down on Sat 8/12. We have annual passes that expire 8/16 so those first few days will be parks morning & night w/pool breaks at VWL midday.
8/17 we switch over to AKL Savannah view where we will not be using park tickets. Just chilling out and eating w/the Dining Pkg.
DH joins us 8/19 - our last night at AKL. (Yes I have him on the package too as we're told all ppl staying in the room need to be on pkg). DH has NEVER been to FL in the summer!

Sun 8/20-26 we switch over to BCV.
Planning Sun at EpCot (we're bringing back park hoppers - yes we know about the finger scans, etc)
Mon morn AK, Stormalong Bay break, Mon night MK

Tues Universal all day, Wed SeaWorld all day, Thurs Universal all day.
We have a car rented for these 3 days. DH wants these days like this - Im thinking he's going to get off that plane and realize how HOT it is in FL in Aug. He's also never stayed at an EpCot resort. Im not sure if I can stay that close to EpCot & MGM and only visit them 3 of 6 days.

Fri morn MGM, Fri night back to MGM (or EpCot)
Sat pack up and fly home late afternoon

Do you think those 3 days are realistic? Im thinking way too hot to not have a midday pool break. DS & I were at WDW same 2 wks last Aug but we needed those pool/AC breaks. I know I can always send both DH & DS on their way to Univ/SeaWorld and go to the parks/pools myself.

We will be down there almost the same time and was there the same week last year. It is BEYOND hot that time of year. The humidity is a killer. My dh HATES the heat and last year stayed in the room most of the time and came out at dinner - when it was still very hot. Even the pools were too warm to be refreshing.

That said...I personally would NOT plan on spending the entire day somewhere, but that's just me. My kids are 7 & 11 now and I'll take them out first thing in the morning and then go back for a room and pool break and then go back out at night. I just can't do the commando route...

Not sure how the crowds will be this year due to the dining plan, but last year it wasn't too bad. We did have to beat hurricane Katrina home..
