What would you do (Sheraton Vistana/Dolphin)

Miracle of miracles, we got a timeshare for Spring Break! We will be at the Sheraton Vistana Villages (based on recommendations on this board).

Of course, it's seven nights, not nine. So I need a room for the last two nights of our stay. It's me, hubby, and 3 kids ranging in age from 9-16 (so they can carry suitcases, etc). I'm looking at two choices:

1. Continue our stay at Vistana booking through Dreams Unlimited

or

2. Move over Dolphin using school rate

They're both around the same price. I think it would be neat to stay close, but also nice if we didn't have to move out of our room, or across property.

Any advice?

I am an owner at SVV and we have also stayed at the Swan. With your 3 kids, I would tend to stay where you are already booked because of the extra room you will have. I would think you would need 2 rooms at the Swan/Dolphin unless you got a suite. You will have to budget in meals with any Dolphin stay, but since you would be within walking distance of the Boardwalk area, Epcot and HS, you would have plenty of choices. Please be aware that there is a parking charge per day at Swan/Dolphin for your car and also a resort fee charged per day per room. I believe the two come to about $22 or $23 per day extra on top of your room rate.

The pools at SVV are terrific, but the pools at the Dolphin/Swan are even more impressive. There is only one restaurant at SVV and a snack bar at the new pool which is only open limited hours. The drive to SVV is about 10 minutes, but with Spring Break traffic could become a little longer. SVV is also close to Sea World and a short ride to Universal, so if any of those are in your plans, then that would be a better choice.

No way I'd trade a 2br for a hotel room with a party that large. If you were a couple in a 1br it might be worth it just to say you stayed at the Dolphin (or the Swan, or the Waldorf) because they are fabulous hotels. But they're still hotels and not practical in your situation.

I'd stick to the Vistana too.
