Ok what would you do ? Pay extra for National for the "quicker" service using EA Intermediate (10 days) ent book coupon and my co code for $315.74

or

use Alamo for mousesaver code and ent book coupon for $ 236.29 ???

would you pay 79.45 extra for better service ???

save the money, service is nice but its not guarenteed, you can have a good experience at either(or bad for that matter)

My few experiences with Alamo have pretty much convinced me that NO amount of savings is worth dealing with them. (The last time I used them was in Atlanta. TWO HOURS to get to the counter and then they had no cars.)

I'd keep both until just about the date of departure and keep checking the National site in hopes of lower fares coming out closer to the date of travel. But for almost $80, I'd probably go with Alamo.

We had two reservations. One for Alamo, one for EA National. We were hoping for a van on EA. They said there were no vans, only intermediates, so we went to Alamo. When we went to pick up the van we were told to get it off the EA aisle at National! They said the two companies had merged. Strange story and we ended up paying $100 more. It was still a deal at $220 total for 9 days so we weren't really unhappy. We just would have been thrilled to get a van for $128 for 9 days. ;)

I think the service will be the same if it isn't already.

i would have agreed w/those that said "save the money" 'til our aug/sept vacation and our flight arrived on time, i ran to the alamo line while dh/kids got the luggage... 50+ people ahead of me, and NO ONE on the national line... forget the good rate, i went for the quick service... imo it was worth getting to the world an hour or two earlier... heck, if i wanted to save money and waste time, i would have used mears!
