I am having trouble trying to figure out how to schedule my ADR & 3 FP on Wednesday April 16th.

What I know for sure:
-MK is the recommended park....but that week is crowd level 9!
-We are starting that day with a Marceline to MK Tour that runs from about 8a-11:15a.
-We will be hungry when the tour ends because our breakfast will be a quick pop tart or bagel in the room, so we plan to grab an early lunch at Cosmic Rays at 11:30.
-I have been dying to try the Trails End dinner buffet for years and this is the only day of our trip that it would work. I am somewhat flexible on the ADR time.
-I think it makes sense to use our 3 FP+ of the day at MK since we will be near there for dinner. I am somewhat flexible on the time.
-When I say that I am flexible on the "time" - I am keeping in mind that we do have a really LONG day the next day, so I would like to get to bed at a decent hour.

Plan A
Schedule the 3 FP+ selections at the MK between the hours of 12-3:30.
Schedule an early dinner ADR at Trails End at 4:30p.
I think we would be hungry enough for dinner @ 4:30 since our lunch was at 11:30 (as long as lunch isn't a gut buster!).
Not so sure about being in the MK between the hours of 12 & 3:30 - it will be super crowded, but I will have 3 FP. My brain tells me to get out of dodge though between those hours!

Plan B
Schedule the 3 FP+ selections at the MK between the hours of 3:30-6:30
Schedule a dinner ADR at Trails End at 7:30. This is a late dinner if our lunch is going to be at 11:30.
We would be avoiding the MK between the hours of 12-3:30...but does it really make sense to travel back to CSR for such a short time? We would be getting back to the resort at 1ish and then have to turn around and leave again no later than 2:30. Not sure that makes sense. Also, a 7:30 dinner buffet could make for a later night than I had wanted (by the time we eat and make our way back to CSR).

OTHER
I am open for suggestions!!

What would you do?

If you can tolerate the crowded walkways, I think I'd lean towards the three FPs in btwn your tour and your dinner reservation. But that might be all you do...maybe? Unless you happen across some true walkons....

But I just say that b/c I don't think I'd want to travel all the way back to the resort just to turn right around again. OR.....you could take a "break" at a closer resort like the contemporary for a bit I suppose.

Agree. Plan A makes the most sense to me as well. With crowd level of 9, I don't think it will make much difference if you are there in the afternoon or early evening...both will be crowded. Do the 3 FP+ you want then take a leisurely boat ride over to Trail's End for your early dinner.

I haven't been back to Disney since the FastPass+ debacle.

You get a three hour window? Not a specific time?

And you have to schedule all three within the same window?

No, they do not have to be scheuled in a 3 hour window. OP is looking at a window of 3 hours between other plans they are making.

I would forgo the tour and use the early hours to tour MK on a level 9 day.

Possibly skip Trails End also as it is not that good.

In that case, I'd aim your FastPasses for anytimes between 12:30 - 5:30 and head out for dinner at 6:30.

Then again, if it were me, I wouldn't bother going to Trails End. Never been there, just doesn't seem worth the hassle of all of that travel.

I agree. I'd give myself a little longer in MK, schedule FP+ for the afternoon. It's going to be crowded but tolerable. A longer window should give you time to do your FP's and one or two other things. It makes no sense to go back to the resort for just a short rest.

One of you had a good point - when the crowd level is a 9, it probably doesn't matter if it is 1:00 or 5:00 - it is going to be crowded either way! LOL!

I am going to stick with Plan A and make my ADR for 5:00. If we finish up what we want to do and get there early, I am sure we wont have an issue getting a table. For those of you who said to skip Trails End - no way! From what I hear, they have the same fried chicken as they serve at Hoop De Doo - I have been dreaming of that chicken for years! ;) Also, we have other days in our schedule for MK - including 2 rope drops, so we will get to see everything else at another time. Can't wait!!
