I rather new to ebay and I sold on 9-9 a book I sent then the invoice

and still haven't gotten payment

today I also sold an item and the person asked if I could wait until 9-24 for payment

I guess I wouldn't mind waiting since this was the only action I got on this

but would this go against either me or the buyer since payment would be so late

as far as the book should I send another invoice or let ebay know that I haven't received payment

all this is still rather new to me

thanks all

You need to put in your terms of service how many days after you expect payment by. This will clear things up if a customer doesn't pay by that time and you relist the item. For now try to contact the buyer for a few more days. If you go to the ebay children clothing boutique community board, those ladies are awesome although not as many as there use to be. I use to sell on ebay.

You should not or should not have agreed to a payment extension beyond the eBay appeal date deadline for filing a nonpayment report.

If you did so agree then send another letter changing your mind and shortening the agreement deadline to be one day before the eBay appeal date deadline.

Then file the nonpayment report with eBay by their deadline if you do not get payment.

I am selling a few things on ebay - I used to sell quite a bit when the kids were younger. I hate hate hate waiting for payment. So if at all possible I try to do only "buy it now" listings and require paypal payment at the time of purchase. I realize I might lose a few sales or a few dollars compared to auctions, but I am not listing things that are very high-value to begin with. A few things that I really have had no idea how to price I have listed as auctions, but I much prefer "buy it now" sales.

I'm getting more and more buyers doing this, I always send the invoice and if they haven't paid file a Non-paying bidder report. Ebay has shorted the time in which to file a NPBR to 2 days, used to be 4 days. Then after filing the buyer still has 4 days to pay. If they had not paid in the 4 days then go ahead and close the case and get your fees back. The buyer will then get a mark against their Ebay name, if they get 3 of these they will not be able to buy on Ebay.
But they can open another Buyer name. I wished Ebay would be more strict with Buyers, so frustrating.

thanks for the great ideas Ill give them a try

I did get a message from the one that bought a book and she said she already bought the book before she won with her bid and I should sell it to someone else

I sent a message back that she needed to buy the book since I turned down other offers because of the bid

I hope that was ok to do--I did file a non payer report--Im not sure if I did that right

as for the one sending payment I said I would be willing to wait till then but the payment should be there or Ill file a non payment with ebay

Ive only been selling since Oct and always had good luck with everything but now all of a sudden 2 with in the same month

I hope this all works out

thanks again
