We are going on an anniversary trip Sept 10/11. There are so many things we could do without the kids I just can't decide! Do we do a tour, watercraft, just look around....the list goes on. SOOOOO,

What things would you like to do that you either have never done or don't get to do because you have kids with you? You have two full days, open to all parks, and not just rides/attractions. Ready, set, go!

The behind the scenes tours are really fun. I have done almost all of them. One of the best is Keys to the Kingdom.

I'd tour the resorts and hotels -- just take lots of leisurely time to actually SEE things and enjoy "looking at stuff". As for the parks, we would probably stay at Epcot the whole time, gaining lots of weight. :lmao:

We did a hot air balloon trip (with the kids) once. It was one of the funnest things we have done. DH and I want to do the Keys to the Kingdom tour this year.

DH and I are going to WDW for the first time w/o the kids in Sept for FD. We have plans to eat in restaurants that we wouldn't normally take the kids to (Citrico's/Le Chef, etc). We will also stop to see some resorts we have been wanting to see more of, and much more relaxing than we got to do last month when we had the kids.

We might even sleep in one day! ;)

These are different trips now, alot cheaper too. Wife and I share meals. We're old people but youngster in Disney. We amble the parks, come and go as we please and enjoy the resort pool more now and have a few drinks while we relax. no rush to do much, we've done 42 trips and have our interests but relaxing and smelling the flowers is more important than the attractions anymore. not into alot of tours either, hate schedules, same for dining plan, like to eat when and where we want. Now that the children are gone, we have time for the out of the way places and things in the parks, spend time on a bench, check out the alleys, shops, the non attraction things. We come home relaxed, and not needing a vacation from the vacation.

My Dh and I did an anniversary trip last year during free dining and it was so relaxing! We spent part of each day relaxing by the pool and went out later in the day for the evenings. We spent 1 day in Epcot and got to spend time looking around the countries instead of doing just the rides. Another night we had dinner at DTD and went to La Nouba. We were planning to play a round of golf but it was way too hot when we were there in Sept so that we'll save that for our next non kids trip! Have a great time!

I'd go do some of the behind the scenes tours, eat at sit down restaurants you normally wouldn't take the kids, take things at a slower pace, and just enjoy being there together. Be sure to catch the special fireworks shows that you really like, and skip the rides that just the kiddos enjoy. Go for a massage at the spa, have a pedicure while hubby goes out for a round of golf or a fishing excursion. There are just sooo many adult options to enjoy, pick what you like, and have a wonderful trip sans kids! :)

We will have our 25th anniversary on 12/12/12 and I am already planning the trip! We will stay where we want to stay, eat where we want to eat, and do what we want to do....and spend a lot of time in the room alone:thumbsup2

A tour sounds great, dinner at V&As, and a couple's spa day are also on my to-do list. I can't wait!!!

Probably be more fun if you spend the time in the room with your spouse rather than alone;):lmao:

We celebrated our 25th anniversary at Disney this past September. We enjoy taking our time going through the parks and noticing the things we never did with the kids; eating at places we would never eat at with the kids because they were so picky; spending time at the resort enjoying the pools, getting a massage, etc. We enjoy spending more time in World Showcase and looking at all the shops, seeing the films, and all the little knick knacks.

Epcot Segway tour is fun!

When DH and I go back, we want to try the Back Trail Tour at Fort Wilderness

Raglan Road at Downtown Disney.

Fireworks cruise.

Segway tour of World Showcase, or the Drink Your Way Around World Showcase (not on Segways...)

Any of the behind the scene tours.

I think there's a horseback trail ride in Fort Wilderness.

Para-sailing or boating.

Victoria and Albert's restaurant is adults only.

The deluxe resorts and Coronado Springs have spas.

My mom and I are going in May. We will be joining a group of three other adults for half of the trip, too.

One thing we plan to do, at least that i haven't done before, is taste lots of yummy drinks (Grand marnier slush, margaritas, etc etc)! We are going to all parks still (except Animal Kingdom, not huge fans of it). We are also doing the Backstage Magic Tour.

Maybe you could even work a day or part of your day into just relaxing at the resort? If we were staying longer, we would definitely do this. We're going to do it during some afternoon breaks instead!

Whatever you decide, have a wonderful time :)

I would do the EPCOT Segway tour. I was going to say Keys to the Kingdom, which is an awesome tour, but takes up half the day. KttK truly is something you would need to do without kids, they don't allow them, and is a very neat tour. But I'm not certain if that's what I'd want to do on an anniversary trip, Segways would be fun and together, but not burn up an entire day.

I'd also make ressies early at your favorite romantic spots that you just can't enjoy even with the best of children, we did Narcoossee's one year for Valentines and scheduled it during Wishes fireworks for example.

The rest is really up to you and what type person you are. Would spending an entire day being a park commando appeal to you because you can't do it with kids? Just try to do EVERYTHING and be there from rope drop to kiss goodnight and rest when you get home. Or would a laid back and relax trip more suit you where you may not even go to the parks at all or maybe for only one day.

DH and I did the Epcot Segway tour, that was a huge hit for him..lots of fun! We did a couples massage at the GF earlier this month and for Oct I think I may do one of the fireworks cruises and/or a couples spa day

I just came back from a solo trip. Yu may also want to wander over to the Adults and Solo board. There are a couplf of discussions about it. :goodvibesMy TR is in my sig.

The Segway tour was the best! It was a little iffy for the first 10 minutes, then you become an expert. It is before World Showcase opens, so you really get a different view.

One of th special tours is good; most of them are 16 and over.

Restaraunts that you wouldn't take kids too would be nice too. Chcking out the other hotels like Boardwalk and check things out; mini-goal is also nearby.

Most of all, relax and enjoy yourself!
